Betty Rae's devotes and donates 10% of its profits each year to local, national, and international organizations, charities, and individuals working to advance and serve their communities. We truly believe in ourselves and aspire to be more than just ice cream.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon on recommendation from a friend, and the place looked really promising walking in as it had the awesome local ice cream shop vibe. The employees were cordial but not terribly ice cream shop friendly. I LOVE local, made in house ice cream shops and seek them out wherever I go. The problem here was the ice cream itself. I got the coffee ice cream and the cinnamon ice cream. The flavor for both was fine but not amazing. However, I have never had that much ice in my ice cream. Ever. Both flavors were littered with ice chunks throughout. It was not an especially hot day, and it was mid afternoon, so I'm not sure what was going on, but it's really too bad that it was consistently icy for both flavors.

Great flavors, great service. New favorite ice cream joint in KC. I got apricot goat cheese and honey lavender. They nailed these complex flavors with subtlety and accuracy. We loved it!
