What makes it fun

Our classes are hands-on and designed to encourage participation and fun! We periodically offer a demonstration format, but both formats include a full dinner to be shared with your classmates in a family-style setting. Wine is provided, and you can order from our complete restaurant bar menu. Our workshops include a wide range of cuisines, including but not limited to Chinese dumplings, Spanish paella, French crepes, and much more.

I'm visiting and my best friend took me to Billie's Grocery for lunch.I ordered the Korean chicken wrap, which comes with a side of sweet potato fries or salad. The first bite with the gochuchang spicy mayo was fireworks in my mouth. Why? The pickled ginger is amazing with the GF fried chicken, sticky rice, and freshness of carrots and lettuce. A suggestion is to spread the ginger out to get the taste throughout most of the wrap vs. 2 bites.The pastries are delicious and hard to pick one without wanting the whole counter in a box. The cilantro lime cookies gave the vibe of key lime pie, not much cilantro. It's still a good cookie with a drizzle of icing over the top. I think an infused icing of cilantro would bump up the taste for balance.

Very disappointed. Got the sesame chicken salad and the descriptions says “organic greens”. Instead I got 90% yellow iceberg lettuce. Very poor quality food.

Horrible service! They made an unauthorized charge on my credit card. I contacted them directly and 2 days after the charge they sent me emails the order I never made was ready for pick up? They refused to credit me back so I had to go through my bank to stop the $10 that caused me to have to get a new debit card and we all know what a hassle that causes!!! You’d think they’d be more interested in customer service than $10… nope! Watch your charges!

Very knowledgeable employees and phenomenal allergy-friendly baked goodies. From specialty cakes to muffins, cookies to special vegan and raw treats, their spread is always impressive.

So delicious! I am a carnivore who eats gluten and I still love this place. I can't drive by without stopping to get something/ anything from the bakery.

Came here on my sister's recommendation (she says it's the only spot in KC that she likes to revisit - and she's obsessed with trying new restaurants, so that says a lot) and had a delicious lunch! I got the carnitas burrito, and she got the tuna bowl as well as the vanilla raspberry cake and a smoothie. All the food was delicious and my sister assures me that all the food she's tried here has been great (she also highly recommends the gluten free chicken and waffles).They have an extensive baked goods selection, the vast majority of which are gluten free, which is very impressive! The cake we got was gluten free and was moist and yummy - I wouldn't have known it was gluten-free. The menu is very diverse, with sandwiches, bowls, brunch options, and more. There are options for people with a wide range of dietary restrictions, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.There is a good amount of seating, with three different sections, as well as outdoor seating. There are a number of table sizes as well, and can accommodate groups. That said, we came on a Sunday afternoon and it was incredibly crowded, though a table opened up while we were waiting for our food (it's open seating). The space is very bright and airy in decor and has a cute, modern feel.

Slick and modern with a KC welcome feel, this bakery/bar/restaurant/espresso/tea establishment hits all the notes for a quiet morning, fun brunch, afternoon meeting or date. The staff is great. The food and drinks are AMAZING and the best part-the prices are fair and the portions large enough to eat and take home leftovers. I highly recommend!
