What makes it fun
This fountain is named after Carl DiCapo, a Parks Commissioner, restaurateur, and community volunteer in Kansas City's north end. It is located in Kessler Park on picturesque Cliff Drive. It was converted and consecrated in 1989, and its composition of natural rock and spring water places it in a class by itself. The recirculating waterfall was built to highlight a natural spring with a rustic cliffside backdrop. Residents in the northeast area used the natural spring as a water supply throughout the 1800s and early 1900s.
