We always take our nieces and nephews here when they come into town. It’s a great place for kids. It’s classic American food … burgers, hot dogs, chilli … and honestly … just mediocre. But the atmosphere is wonderful and the kids live train booths and moving trolley that drops your orders right off at the table. I even went here many moons ago as a kid and remember eating in actual train booths! I have such pleasant memories of this place. It’s different but still great for kids and our relatives live it! A favorite go to with them!!

The food really was pretty good for the price. But you are coming here for the experience, not the food. But be prepared, it's noisy! We got the bacon cheesburger and the tenderloin. My daughter got the chicken nuggets meal and proclaimed, "These are the best nuggets I've ever had." I didn't try them, so I can't vouch for her. But she is 6, how many nuggets could she possibly have tried?

I went here to get the famous Gen Dare burger. The hostess was nice. I'm not a fan of the phone system ordering, because no one greats you and you simply don't know when to start talking. Also, the phone was staticky as heck. I could barely hear whomever it was who I was talking to...who was, by the way...completely over it. They did not sound like they wanted to be there. I guess I could hardly blame them though.The burger was okay. I mean, just okay. It was sloppy and warm, but not hot. Taste was middling. The fries were hands down the worst fries I have ever had. Cold, mushy, slightly bendy, old tasting.They are not nearly as good as the Fritz's on 18th in KCK. I think all the tourists go here because of the trains. I'm telling you that trains don't make a dining experience good or valuable. The whole experience was lame and I will never, ever bring my visiting friends here.

It's a fun experience! We went for the first time yesterday and my son loved seeing the trains driving around the restaurant and delivering the food to each table. The staff was fun and helpful, and it was very reasonably priced. Oh! Don't forget to get yourself a shake! The butterscotch one was delicious! Thank you to everyone at Fritz's for your professionalism, cleanliness, and friendly and welcoming attitudes! We look forward to coming back!
