Il Lazzarone is a pizzeria run by a family. The lazzaroni were the people who lived on the streets of Naples. They were, in fact, the ones who invented pizza. It is stated that a lazzaroni is finished working for the day when he has worked long enough to afford a Neapolitan pizza and a bottle of wine. The il Lazzaroni epitomized the authentic Italian sense of leisure and community, which is what we strive for here. We take pride in utilizing high-quality ingredients and adhere to the classic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza rule of using only four simple ingredients in the dough and cooking the pizza in under 90 seconds.
