    What makes it fun

Loose Park is home to Kansas City's municipal rose garden. The original rose garden had 120 rose plants. In the 1.5 acre garden now, there are over 3,000 roses of nearly 130 types. The garden recently had a $400,000 repair, which included the planting of 1,200 new roses and the restoration of the beds to their original designs. The Loose Park Garden Center was created in 1957 for meetings and various horticultural displays. Loose Park is ideal for a stroll or picnic with your loved one.

Great park! I love the walking trails, rose garden and great picnic areas. The pond needs a bit of cleaning of debris, but overall a well kept park.

It's a beautiful, open park with plenty of places to hammock, picnic, or toss the frisbee. There's a rose garden, ponds, playgrounds, and tennis courts, as well.We appreciate it most for the rolling fields, large and beautiful trees, and because it is our favorite place to walk a dog.

A go-to place for afternoon walks. Great rubbery walking/running trail on the perimeter and a more winding sidewalk throughout the park. They have a nice pond with fish and a weeping willow surrounded by benches. Plenty of people hang hammocks, set-up picnics, or throw frisbees in the expansive green space. There is a playground for kids right across from the school. Truly an enjoyable space for all people.

When you live in KC, it's almost like you take loose park for granted. You know it's in a beautiful area, you drive by and your like "oh that's a nice park". But you really don't truly appreciate it when you take the time to walk it and realize how beautiful it actually is.We took a stroll around the ( I believe it is 1 mile) path around and we basked in the beauty of the park. The glowing trees in fall are the perfect backdrop to a walk, the peaceful pond and stunning architecture. Not to mention the rose garden.Don't be like us and wait 3 years to spend meaningful time in this park like we did. This is a staple of KC and a must visit for anyone visiting or living in the area.

I would give it a 6 star if there’s an option. Not only that we enjoyed the food, food presentation, ambient of the restaurant, we truly appreciate our waiter John for introducing a good selection on the menu. He is very knowledgeable of the menu and I can tell he enjoy being there and provide a good service to everyone. We were told that the Chef always create new menu creatively. They have happy hour and you’ll get to try delicious food at a lower price. It was my first visit to the restaurant and I was very happy with all the selections. Definitely going back!

This was a fun experience. There is a lot of listening stations, a replica of an old school jazz room, very fun experience.Wasn't too familiar with jazz so I can't say I knew everything there but I definitely learned a lot !

This park is beautiful, so many places to walk around and look. They have a walking trail, pond with LOTS of fish, turtles, birds. They have a tennis court, splash pad, rose garden, picnic tables, swings, fountain and plenty of open areas to have a picnic. The only issue is that there is no where near enough parking for people. Definitely needs way more parking!!!
