Kansas City Ballet is a professional ballet group of 30 dancers led by Artistic Director Devon Carney. The Kansas City Ballet's aim is to inspire and engage audiences through the beauty, power, and passion of dance. Mr. Carney is committed to delivering accurate versions of the great classics of the dance world, as well as time-honored 20th-century masterpieces and fresh new world premieres from today's leading choreographers, to the community. In its history, the Kansas City Ballet has performed nearly 400 pieces. Since its inception in 1957, the company has amassed a broad repertory of classical and modern ballets, including original works by its artistic directors, renowned choreographers, and rising stars.

Loved attending tithe ballet with my fiancé - many times throughout the years and even had the pleasure of working for a board member and to see the first ballet presentation just after Covid … it was truly fine art brought to life again will miss the sounds of the sages in the air, the tiniest of toes touch ballet shoes to stage and the great costumes in Dracula or Hyde … I hated the wizard of it is and don’t need to see another nutcracker as was our Christmas tradition, get your ballet discount on aortments at plaza west girls and thank you for reminding me of things as precious as a first date or kiss, the crinkle of tissue paper and fragility and strength you carry across stage - is how dancers are always be remembered- legendary scenes captured by audience as only and that makes for a once in a lifetime experience… thank you. Professional and diverse environment, good for all ages and experience levels. Instructors are very accommodating and the studios are wonderful.

Community dance classes are offered. A great way to get exposure to various forms of dance, including ballet.

Day of Dance (usually in August) is a great way to experience various forms of dance. There are classes for all ages.

We stopped to see New Moves and are so glad we did. The ballet company in KC is very talented and the show had all new choreography from up and comers that was a delight. I encourage checking it out - makes a great date night!

I am just blown away by the skills of these dancers!! I have been to several performances throughout the years and love every second of it - totally captivated!! Just saw Wizard of Oz last Saturday, performance was amazing as usual!! I was so glad to finally get back in the Kauffman Center!!
