    What makes it fun

The Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden ocal and exotic botanicals in lush and diversified plant beds. Stone walls frame the pruned greenery and flower plantings, which are skillfully arranged around amusing fountains and beautiful works by bronze sculptor Tom Corbin. The Orangery is the garden lawn's main architectural element, providing a shaded gathering space for visitors as well as a home for fragrant and seasonal plants.

I've been here many times, and it's always been so clean and nicely maintained. I proposed to my fiancé here and it's was so nice and looked so beautiful. The flowers and trees are so well cared for. Everything is perfect.

Came before many flowers were budding, but it was still beautiful. I liked seeing a group of young ladies here crafting during my visit and just chatting. Seems like a great place to come to read and just be at peace or hang with a friend.

Beautiful place! It isn't big, but it is well done. The smells and flowers are relaxing, and you have benches where you can sit and enjoy the view.

Absolutely beautiful! The gardens are always colorfully arranged and maintained. Great place to see in spring, summer, and fall. Wonderful place to meditate or just walk through.

A very gorgeous, peaceful garden. It's a short walk from several different bus routes. I've only been here twice thus far but it's been amazing. The plants in bloom change by season and I intend to visit at least once every season to see what's new.The Orangery building has some interesting (citrus) tree specimens, including a few notably hard to find ones like Buddha's Hand citron. There's a cat that lives in the building, presumably cared for by the groundskeepers. It's a lovely place to sit and relax (there's benches and chairs in a few different spots), maybe do some quiet and unobtrusive arts and crafts like sketching or knitting. The plants and flowers make for some beautiful photos, though you're not supposed to use the garden for portrait photos.

Beautiful park even in the winter time i would imagine. It was still a cool Spring afternoon in April and you can tell the locals love this place. Great place to bring lunch and just enjoy the fresh air. Lots of area to walk your dog. And has restrooms but they weren't open yet. Lots of open space and some playground areas for the kids.

This is a lovely garden, and it's free to visit. We were there in November and it was still a bower of blossoms. The fountains add a nice touch to the scenery. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to see the resident kitty.

Absolutely gorgeous garden, and free of charge! It's not big, only takes 30 minutes or so to see everything. Very close to Nelson Atkins. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Great City park. Lots of green area to spread out. Beautiful spring trees blooming this time of year make great photo opportunities. Nice playground for the kids. Seemed to be a few years old, but well maintained and condition. Good amount of benches and areas to grill. Park was very clean too, and a good amount of parking.
