    What makes it fun

On June 26, 1804, the Lewis and Clark Expedition arrived at Kaw Point, the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers. The expedition stayed at Kaw Point for three days to rest, repair their boats, explore the local area, and engage in martial law for the first time on their journey. Today, Kaw Point is in the heart of metropolitan Kansas City, with a lovely perspective of downtown, but the Point itself is still in a natural form, with beautiful forested trails, wildflowers, and wildlife. The park, which is located along the river, has easy access to highways, the Lewis and Clark Historic Trail, and two magnificent rivers.

The boat ramp at Kaw Point Park is steep, narrow, and congested. Due to the hydraulics of the river, trash and dirty debris tend to collect along the banks near the boat ramp. Unfortunately, it’s one of the few places to put in in the KC metro area.

This is a great piece of american history. To stand at kaw point and watch the two rivers collide in 2 colors Is amazing!! So much history here. The fishing is phenomenal. Lots of big gar . Bring your fishing gear. You will need it here. 5 stars from me. What else do ya need ??

The park has a pretty view, nice information and display about Lewis and Clark, but doesn't live up to it's potential. It is hard to find in an industrial area and the bathrooms are locked except for special events. It doesn't have picnic tables either.

It’s a nice little park with rich history! Some of the wood planks are loose on the walk ways and some of the park looks run down. Other than that it’s an amazing spot to get a good view of the city!!

Cute little park at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers. Signage leading to the park entrance is a little hard to find if you navigate via Google Maps, but it will be on the South side of commercial buildings nearby. Nice, well kept trail trail with boat ramp.

A beautiful place & respite from the busy city. You can rest on stones honoring people in a mini forest just a stone throw from the river. These are photos of some wild flowers in an on going preservation.

Really fun and interesting trail especially during this late autumn, walking around as theres scattered colored leaves, a peaceful flowing creek, leading into some nostalgic suburbs, and just a great trail to go on with friends or alone.
