What makes it fun
The Street Hotel, located at 18th and The Paseo, was recognized as a safe haven for African American tourists in the 1930s. It's where Jackie Robinson lived when he was in town, according to The Negro Motorist Green Book. "The Blue Room" was the name of the hotel's famed nightclub. Our jazz club, named after the legendary lounge, serves as both an exhibit and a venue, providing an intimate environment for performances by the best local and national jazz talent.
