Even though we have white tablecloths, we don't like to think of ourselves as a "fancy" restaurant. We collaborate with local farmers, butchers, and artisanal food purveyors to craft distinct, delectable, and comforting food that combines the Midwest's fantastic culinary resources with classic French tradition. Equally important, our award-winning service team strives to provide you with a memorable, unpretentious dining experience no matter what the occasion.

My sister had never been, so we introduced her to this fabulous food. We tried the Hemmingway daiquiris and some kind of scrumptious cocktail with rye & cognac when we arrived. (We will be ordering those again next time.) For starters we ordered the beet salad, pate, and coquille Saint-Jacques. These appetizers were so good that we devoured all of them! For entrees we choose Dover Sole, veal scaloppini with Daniel's potato gratin, and the mushroom ravioli. We each tasted all 3 and agreed that they tasted so good we couldn't possibly choose a favorite. Jody was our server and took excellent care of us. She easily convinced us to split a dessert. We decided on the Palais Royale and 3 spoons. The entire dinner experience was very rich, decadent, and definitely not something you could get just anywhere in Kansas City. Don't even try to go without a reservation. It's small, and SO good that it's always full. Worth the indulgence.

Just incredible. Everyone should experience the culinary experience we experienced tonight.the service from William I believe (I'm sorry ) to the food all the way through was perfect. The dover sole with the diver scallop was just phenomenal. Everything was cooked to perfection with the service being top notch. I noticed the waiter coming to tiresly checking on our water and us but noticing we were in a conversation so stepped e

Cozy space, white tablecloths, kind staff, fashion photography from late 1950s Paris, delicious soup, excellent food. We normally don't get dessert but had some time and got a French press and the dessert special and were not disappointed.

Great french restaurant. Come day or night. Would recommend a reservation as it fills up fast. Everything we have tried has been amazing.

I am never disappointed by an evening spent at Cafe Provence! The food, the service and the atmosphere is always a lovely and memorable time. I highly recommend the muscles and endive salad! I get them almost every time I eat here

The food was spectacular. Excellent kale salad, braised lamb and a chicken dish that was superb. The service was excellent, very attentive. A great experience.

Absolutely delightful. You get the impression that the owners of Café Provence are French, because they nailed it, having personally spent time in Paris France. My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate Valentine's Day and the food, the wine, the service, the atmosphere were all impeccable. Had it been acceptable we would've licked our plates clean :) Get your life together and make a reservation at Café Provence.

One of the best meals I've enjoyed in a very long time. Ambience is great - I felt like I was back in France. Great wine list. And if you have the option of the lemon souffle... do not debate. Just order it.

UPDATE: Cafe Provence continues to impress. Absolutely stunning meal tonight.

Dinner was amazing, service was spot on. Definitely going back again. Started with escargot and bread service. Bread came with garlic butter but I couldn't stay away from the sauce the snails were served in. Will have to try the onion soup but will be difficult if they have clam chowder again. Veal was tender and tasty. Desserts are individual sized but we were full enough we really could have shared one.

Wonderful. No wonder it has been in the top 100 restaurants for the last ten years!

Make a reservation. They will have your table set for you when you get there. Space heaters stationed for outside dining. Every ingredient is accented in a very authentic way.
