What makes it fun
Delbert Haff was a significant impact in the evolution of the Kansas City Park Board in the 1890s. This pioneer was honored by a circle near Swope Park. A low retaining wall of coursed stone was used to design the mirror pool. It was outfitted with a center spraying ring and seven vertical jets that work all year in 1966. This fountain greets visitors to Swope Park and honors one of Kansas City's most influential supporters of the local park system. The memorial's centerpiece is a bust facing Swope Park. The raw stone is a reddish-brown color. Flowers and benches have been planted in the area. It's an ideal location for a proposal.
