Our family just finished a beginner clay throwing class. We just loved the staff and cannot wait to pick up our finished pieces. Would love for them to expand so a membership component can be added! Thanks for the memories!

BEST date night ever! Haley was our instructor and made the whole night so fun! I had never used a potters wheel before, so as a complete beginner I felt like the whole experience was fantastic.
It was so fun to be in a group class where you can interact with others and make new friends. You can make a cup or bowl and even pick the color glaze it gets! In 3-4 weeks you come back and pick up your piece! What a cool concept!
If you try it and love it, they even offer intermediate or advanced classes and membership options!

My wife and I had a great date night here with their pot and pints. It was the first time for both of us and our teacher made it both fun and enjoyable and we both love the things that we made.

An amazing place- amazing experience, amazing space, amazing teacher. We went for a wheel turning class for our date night experience. This is an excellent date night outing. Our instructor, Mackenzie, was/is incredible. She is a thoughtful, kind, patient, thorough, and extremely well communicated teacher. Her balance between allowing people to explore the medium on their own and her critique and guidance is near perfect. Our advice is to listen to whatever she is telling you, it will work we promise. MY fiancé and I made some impressive cups/bowls during our session here. Beyond the excellent instruction, the space is chill and inviting with a great playlist going throughout your time here. If you are interested in learning wheel thrown ceramics or you're looking for a great date night activity, this is the place. Thanks so much Mackenzie, you rock!!!!

Did a small private class with Driftwood Ceramics and we had so much fun! It was our niece's first time throwing on a wheel and Chelsey was so patient with her. It was a great experience and even better with Chelsey being very helpful and personable. The studio itself has a great atmosphere and lots of amazing pieces! The owner, McKenzie, was very kind and went above and beyond for us! I would definitely recommend Driftwood Ceramics :)

It's ok if you just don't want to explore other places. The owner is not easy to deal with when making (or trying to make) arrangements for a group. If you're lucky enough to get LaJoy as your instructor she will make up for the hassle it may have taken to get in. Try others around town is my suggestion.

I purchased a beginner hand building class for my retired mother as a birthday gift. The teacher, Sarah, was extremely rude to my 70 year old mother through multiple classes, would not call her by her name (also mocked her name when my mother asked to be called by it) and was horrid and critical of her work (in this beginner class!) to the point where my mother did not want to go to classes and finally walked out of the penultimate class. The teacher called afterwards and acknowledged her own rudeness but blamed it on “low blood sugar”. Horrible experience for my mom, who probably will never try ceramics again as a result. And I feel awful that she kept going to the classes each week because they were a gift from me!

Decided to sign up for a pots & pints class, as well as a month-long beginner wheel (that had 3 creations). I never got contacted by the studio about my 1st pot being ready for pickup. But since I was taking more classes, I was able to check the shelves myself and realized my pot had been finished from the kiln and took it home.

After the month-long classes, you are to come in and glaze your 2 other creations after they fully dry out on the shelves. One of mine had exploded in the kiln due to air bubbles, which was unfortunate but not their fault. One had been glazed and just needed to be fully fired, but I never received a call for pick up, and it’s been 10 months. I never found my other one on the shelf, and after coming in twice to look for it, an employee or the owner (not sure) told me she could look for it, but to no avail :( The studio was pretty busy, as other people have memberships, which is neat and a great addition to the community! But there were a lot of pieces not being properly handled when I went in, by random individuals. All in all, the studio’s nice and the instructor was fabulous, but I’m disappointed to have not received my wares.

Update 2023: We all went back for a wheel throwing class! McKenzie had all the patience in the world, teaching us how to use the wheel, and because of that, we all ended up with awesome pieces. Again cannot wait to see them all completely finished!
2022: Took my nieces (and their moms 😊) to a kid hand-building class. McKenzie made it super easy, and the girls had so much fun! We loved it and are already planning to come back for another class! Can't wait to see our finished products!

I went here with a group of friends. We had the place to ourselves. The instructor was fantastic she was comfortable teaching allll of us - some were really bad at it. She was patient and confident! I’ve been really wanting to go back because it was such a fun time!

Had a perfect date night with my girlfriend at Driftwood’s Pots & Pints event that happens every Friday and Saturday at 7p. There was a mix of people at the event, so don’t be afraid to bring a friend or family member as well! You can BYOB to calm the nerves if it’s your first time spinning pottery. My girlfriend and I both found the instructors to be very kind and helpful. The quality of the instructors definitely showed in our work, which turned out very well. The best part is the instructors handled clean-up and will glaze and fire the pots for us, which we pick up after about 4 weeks. We both want to take a class now because we had so much fun. I would highly recommend visiting Driftwood!

We had a fun and engaging class with Emma last night. She was helpful and informative without being overbearing or condescending and just seemed to be generally having a good time. It was a neat experience being able to throw on pottery wheels.
