The Folly Theater holds a special place in the hearts of those who have had the chance to experience her shows. After being closed for a time, The Folly reopened in 1981 and has since been impressing guests with world-class performances. The exterior of the theater is breathtaking and the interior is both comfortable and elegant. The acoustics of the Folly have been compared to those of Carnegie Hall. When you step inside, you can expect to hear the sounds of children giggling, applause for world-renowned performers, and the clinking of glasses as guests toast to an amazing show. Great location for music, with excellent acoustics. Seats in the balcony are narrower and have less pitch than those in the orchestra.

An amazing, well restored and updated venue. We attended a Chamber Music Kansas City performance and by luck sat next to a couple who were longtime members who were kind enough to give us a quick tour. This was a burlesque theater back in the day with many vaudeville acts and jazz performances. The acoustics are brilliant and the feel of the place is just unreal. We'll be going back for more. And we live in Oklahoma so it's worth an overnight trip

Not only do I use the Folly garage for public parking downtown (max $10/day), but I love the many events hosted at the theater. The most recent play was for my daughter to watch the Ice dance studios Summer 2024 Dance Off. The theatre is a little smaller than most, but seating is good.

Felt small - small lobby, small auditorium, small seats. Ramp from lobby into auditorium felt short & steep. Balcony is vertigo inducing. Historic building that has been lovingly preserved & renovated.

Perfect Friday or Saturday evening —Jazz series at this beautifully restored theater! The lineup each season is always diverse and fantastic musicians. American classical music at its finest. @kimyarla

First time at the Folly Theater and the Theater was really nice. The staff are exceptionally courteous and professional. There didn't appear to be a bad seat in the house and the performance was wonderful.

Delightful find in the West Bottoms. Beautiful old building restored with care. Gave off very intimate French vibes. Happy hour menu and pricing even on Saturday. Pomme Alginot was fantastic! Soup of the moment was New England clam chowder, and it was the best we have ever had in any of our travels. Lovely, peaceful place to enjoy a meal. We will definitely return.

Really clean and beautiful theater. The staff made sure all the processes ran smooth along with being super friendly! I definitely recommend seeing any show here.
