What makes it fun
The Fountain of Bacchus, also known as the Pan and the Nymphs Fountain, represents the ancient God surrounded in the garden by nymphs courting him. The lead Sculptures, which weighs approximately five tons and stands 13 feet tall, is centered in the fountain's quatrefoil-shaped base, surrounded by circular and bubbling water elements. Walter Gilbert, founder of Bromsgrove Guild of Warwickshire, England, created the enormous piece of art in the mid 1910s at Moreton Paddox, the house of British Major Robert Emmet. Miller Nichols purchased it in 1960, but due to its size, it was stored in various pieces for many years. In 1967, it was installed and dedicated to the Country Club Plaza.
