Melissa Weinman, a local artist and musician, founded Happy Trees in 2014. Thousands of paintings have been taught since its inception, and a tried and true Happy Trees method has evolved over time. We did not invent painting; we simply made it more accessible.

Just moved here to KCMO by myself and I had the most fun time ever doing the 'paint & sip, paint your pet'! Melissa took her time with every single person, spelled things out easily, I was super comfortable and she was super kind. I will DEFINITELY be back as soon as possible! Thank you :)

We had a fabulous time with Etain for a bachelorette party. She was friendly, talented, and very attentive throughout the whole session. We were able to bring in any snacks/drinks we wanted. Smocks were provided and the options for paintings were great. The space was also adorable and welcoming. I would recommend Happy Trees (especially Etain) for private parties!

I am the Event Coordinator for a local country club and we hosted a "Paint your Pet" event for our members. The group had so much fun - Melissa and her assistant helped us and everyone was so pleased with the final picture that they made! I had many of the guests comment that they couldn't wait to do it again and that it was one of the most fun events they'd been to in a long time. I highly recommend Happy Trees Painting for your next group outing or event.

We have hosted several private parties with Melissa at Happy Trees Painting and every party has been simply amazing. She is a great instructor and very patient, she will turn you into the artist you have always strived to be (if you can't paint like myself). The studios are nice and spacious, you can bring food and drinks and choose the painting you desire. Don't worry, if you mess up, Melissa will come by and get you back on track with the stoke of the brush. Thank you Melissa for great parties, laughs, and awesome art work. We definitely recommend Happy Trees Painting for your next party, you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!!

I've been going to paint parties at Happy Trees for five years and have made some wonderful memories with family and friends. Melissa, the owner is creative, friendly and easy going. She makes everyone feel welcome, no matter the skill level, taking the participants step by step through the image to create their own masterpiece.
I won't even think about going to another venue for a paint event! I have attended two Wednesday Night open paints and then hosted eleven private parties which were fundraisers for a local nonprofit organization. We bring our own food and beverages but the rest of the materials are provided.
