We celebrated our anniversary here. Ron G, the musician, was fantastic. What an amazing decision by the owners to provide live music on Fridays! A shout out to Chase, the Rockstar of the place. It is so refreshing to see a young man who is professional, can communicate appropriately, and has an amazing work ethic. The owner's are so blessed to have him in their establishment.

Our food was definitely above average. There were a few hiccups, but they were resolved quickly and without fuss. We are huge foodies, so we will be back to explore more of the menu.

Our service was adequate. My hope is that D finds his passion and can provide for himself doing something he truly enjoys.

The manager and owner came by our table. This is such a very nice gesture. I especially felt like the owner was open to all of the feedback. He was an involved, caring owner. This place is such a gem! So hard to find a restaurant like this.

We will be returning on a Friday for the live music. And, we can't wait to explore more of the menu. Thank you McGregors!! You have created such a gem.

This is my second time coming here for lunch and it blows me away every time! Everything is so fresh and so delicious!! The staff is also super helpful and kind!! We will be back!!

Great local steak restaurant. We started with drinks of course, which were good. Looks like they have a rotating menu for cocktails. We had the pork belly which was probably one of the best things we had. Nice and crispy on the outside and tender in, w a nice sauce on top. We also tried the lamb, prime rib and one of the filet dishes. The lamb, unfortunately, was just ok. The prime rib was thick cut and had lots of flavor. The filet itself was good, but thinly cut. Only complaint w that dish, were the mashed potatoes. They tasted like instant. Rest was delicious.

On a return visit, we went on burger night on tues. This included a beer, burger and fries. The burgers were excellent. We tried the bone marrow burger and the blue cheese. What a great deal. The peech coblar was perfect. Tom was an excellent server with lots of great recommendations.

Salads, steaks, sides, & dessert were all 10/10!! Cozy atmosphere and wonderful service. This was one of the best steaks we have ever had in KC!

First visit, came in on a Thursday evening for a quiet dinner and we were very pleased. The menu has a nice variety of starters, salads, pasta, chicken, and chops on top of the fantastic steaks. Service was outstanding, had great insights and advice about every dish start to finish. It was friendly fine dining service from start to finish. The steak flight was cooked beautifully, very flavorful and tender. The meatball appetizers were a fun and delicious showcase bite, just the perfect hint of crisp to them. Also ordered the brown butter wild mushroom ravioli with grilled chicken added on. This is an absolutely masterful dish that I eyed as soon as I opened the menu. I was thrilled with it! We finished with some berry cobbler and shortbread cookies and have already picked out what we want to try next time!

I found this little spot through my babygirl who works there and I'm so glad she took me in for a tour. I'm a fan of butcher shops and this space has a restaurant connected and I'll be back to try that out for sure.

First let's talk about the meats they make in house like the German bologna was some of the best I've had, along with their burger patties I thought the cheddar/ bacon was good, but the pepper encrusted blew me away.

So much is going on from the local products they have in stock and a few brought in. I will be back to try a host of items and if they get either of my two favorite wines in I may just cry. 😁

South Overland Park is lucky to have McGregor’s Butcher & Bistro, a new restaurant serving the classics. Impeccable service and perfectly prepared, the Grouper special, the filet, and the steakhouse sides, were all outstanding. The French onion soup was textbook, and the roasted beet salad was the perfect first course. This place is perfect for date night or any special occasion. Won’t be long before getting a table will be a tough task. Enjoy dinner here before the secret gets out.
