Such a fun and memorable spot located right inside Union Station!
It's packed with optical illusions, disorienting walking tunnels, and tons of creative photo spots where you can strike hilarious poses. Walking through the Vortex Tunnel and taking pictures in the upside-down room were total highlights.
Staff members are super helpful in taking photos for you and explaining how the trick angles work. A great, quick stop in Kansas City for families, couples, or anyone looking for cool photo ops!

Pros:
(1) Some interesting illusions that can only be experienced in person
Cons:
(1) Some old 2D illusions that you’ve probably come across on your computer before
(2) Some of the displays needed to be renovated due to cracks in mirrors or general wear and tear

We’re a family of four (two teens). It is over priced for what it is. Spent $74 for admission and less than 30 minutes in there. Very small area. Overhyped for sure! Most of the graphics on the walls are seen on the internet where you can just pull up and still see the same illusions. The only cool thing was the room with the illusion of one person looking bigger than the other. I wouldn’t recommend for kiddos under 10 because all the graphics on the walls are too high for them to experience it. I’m 5’1 and I had to tip toe for some.

10-15 minutes tops not worth the $$ honestly. Had a few cool illusions but definitely not worth the time or drive

Fun to see the illusions and how they work. The staff is friendly and will take a group photo for you if you want to get everyone with you in a shot.

I have wanted to go to this museum for a long time. This is a must see exhibit when at Union Station. Family friendly. Tons of things to do at Union Station. Visit here!

Loved this little spot, it doesn't take very long to go through it, but you will remember you went!! You Must do the spinning tunnel! No pics, as i only got a video, but..The floor is obviously still, and without the railing, i woulda fell over! It was a blast!! So we walked through it several times!

This place was a blast! Some Illusions you might have seen before, but a lot of elements made great use of physical space and positioning. My 12yo enjoyed themselves a lot. Definitely worth a visit!
