My granddaughters were signed up for a week of full day horse camp. They had such a terrible time at the first day that they decided not to return. I purchased this camp for their birthdays and they were both so excited about it. Unfortunately, the young girls conducting the camp were not enthusiastic about helping the kids learn, the camp had 22 kids, which was far to many to give adequate time with the horses, as a result, the kids spent a great deal of time in the goat pen playing with goats, vs riding horses or learning about horses. This was an 8 hour day, the kids were given 20 minutes on a horse in the morning and 20 minutes in the afternoon. While we understood that that interaction with other farm animals was a part of the camp experience, putting the kids in a pen with goats for long periods of time was not what we signed up for. The girls have attended other horse camps that were much better than this one. I suggest you look elsewhere.

My daughter had a great time at the half day summer camp. She loved getting to ride the horses and learned so much that she was excited to show us. She gave it a 10,000/10 score and we are planning to do a full day camp next summer!

Celebrated daughters 4th birthday. I was very impressed with how beautiful Sunset Trails is. Party room was very spacious. We were all able to feed horses and animals without fear we wouldn’t have food for everyone to participate.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I ran out of paper plates and staff gave us some.

We had a 5 year old birthday party and they did a wonderful job. All the kids got to ride a horse and pet / feed lots of animals. Would love to come back again!

We had the BEST time celebrating my 9 year old’s birthday at Sunset Trails. Everything was timed perfectly so every child got to participate fully in every activity provided. Definitely would recommend.

We have also attended their summer camp and plan to do so again this year. My girl has the MOST fun and learns a ton!

~Pardon the late posting~
PROs: Great location. Ideal to host a large birthday party. Party room with adjacent sitting room is fully equipped with tables, chairs, sink, and refrigerator. Petting and feeding time is permitted.
Plenty of parking close to the stables. The folks are friendly. The hostess, Sammy, is professional and watchful of the children.
CONs: Restrooms are too far from the party room, especially for unattended children. GPS directs you past the stables/parking lot.

Thoroughly enjoyed spending my daughters third birthday here! Staff was well equipped to guide the party and the air conditioned party room was perfect.

Thank you Maggie and staff! We had our daughter’s 10th birthday here and purchased the party package. They even had my daughter’s favorite horse for her, Nik. All of the kids enjoyed horse rides, painting the horses, feeding and visiting all of the animals, and celebrating the birthday in the party room which is super cute and has PLENTY of space for a large party. The staff was prompt, attentive, professional, and took charge of the party which allowed the parents to take photos and enjoy the time as well. They were fantastic with all of the kids and ensured the safety of everyone. Definitely recommend this for a party and will be back for trail rides!

We had my daughters 5th birthday there and it was perfect! Her friends loved painting the horses Nick and Emmy and riding them afterwards. Maggie and her staff did an excellent job interacting with the kids and letting them feed the animals. I highly recommend Sunset Trails.

My daughter had the best time at camp here this summer! She wanted to try horseback riding, and when I saw the camps, it looked like such a good opportunity for her to try it out, but also just have a good time all week. All the staff I interacted with were so nice, and they were so good with the kids. I really appreciated the little show they did on the final day, so fun! She had such a blast, and I think it was a really good introduction to horses for her, and this camp may become her new summer thing!
