THIS PLACE IS NOW CALLED BIJOU. I was excited to try the Peacock given its high reviews, so was a little bummed to have found it shut down. In the same place there’s now a bistro called Bijou. I tried eating there but their kitchen was closing at 9pm so I had to find another spot. The server was very friendly, the bartender not so much, seemed a little full of himself, but maybe that’s just his vibe. The 1-star is only used here because KC Peacock is closed so it doesn’t matter after all.

Went here on a Friday night, and the service and food/drinks were just fantastic. It's a cozy place with a great vibe. But the highlight was THE FOOD. We got the beet hummus, pork belly, ribeye, and lamb shank, and there wasn't a bad bite in the entire meal. We will be back.

It has been years since I had been here and after going last night, kind of upset with myself it's been so long! From start to finish, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT CAFE DES AMIS.I called same day, on a Wedneaday after and the owner was able to squeeze us in for a midweek romantic dinner:). The husband and wife pair that own/run this business are TOP NOTCH.The food quality is mind blowing and literally wanted more of everything we tried. The fresh maid lavender infused butter was absolutely incredible and made the entire dinner that much more enjoyable. The fresh bread they give you is absolutely out of this world and perfectly baked.The husband being a pastry chef and the wife being a chef back in the kitchen makes this place even that much more enjoyable with a fabulous back story. The pictures that I am going to post with this absolutely do not do this place Justice whatsoever. I would recommend expecting to be here at least an hour and a 1/2 to enjoy the full experience.The wine menu is also very unique and educational giving you the wines the area of the world they come from and then the pricing. Then you flip to the back of the wine menu and it describes every single wine they offer in detail and show you a picture of the bottle, very nice touch!We had a very enjoyable and laugh filled conversation at the end of the evening with the owner himself. He is so full of life energy and humor!If you even kind of like French inspired food, You just need a place to go one evening for a nice dinner with your significant other, Or perhaps your celebrating something very special. You would literally be doing yourself an injustice and missing out on this little piece of joy in your life. If you did not try this restaurant at least once!

Amazing service, creative cocktails, and great food. We had the brussel sprouts, shrimp, peri peri chicken, and lamb. We would highly recommend them all. In addition, the decor, and relaxing atmosphere topped off a perfect evening.

The peacock restaurant was a delightful discovery in Westport which is our new favorite for a date night.The ambience is classy, stylish and yet comfortable.The service was attentive and friendly which is especially appreciated these days.We started with the slightly spicy but very tasty shrimp appetizer with charred asparagus.The mains were ample and perfectly prepared Peri Peri chicken and Za'atar seasoned pork chop with the right accompaniments. We finished the dining experience with Pecan oatmeal cookie pie that was just the right exclamation point.We loved the experience so much we made reservations for next week!

Food so pretty AND delicious! Great service. Perfect level of attentiveness and personality. Unique decor. Drinks were good, but the food was superb. Some straightforward entrees and others were playful. Definitely worth a visit and great spot for a date night.
