We're delighted to have you aboard The Ship, your West Bottoms stop since 2014. In our original restored 1935 antique barroom and our vast "All Else The Sea" addition, we serve the finest drinks, refreshments, lunch, supper, and local live music. The original Ship bar is now open for business. The original "sunken treasure" of Kansas City, it's a traditional tiny space with a secret speakeasy ambiance.Sail in for lunch or supper, a few drinks with a friend, or a surprise meeting. Almost every night, live music is returned to the stage.

The smoked Mac and cheese with grilled chicken was the best I’ve ever had, and the gumbo was delicious! Our server was awesome, she went to the back to check that the Mac wasn’t made with American cheese which was so nice. Prices were reasonable too with how much food we got. We’ll def be back next time we’re in KC, so glad we found this place!

Delicious food and drinks while also being cheap. Great vibes, and server was friendly and genuine. Would definitely recommend for any KC goers/residents, and we will be back for sure.

Don’t let the area fool you. The place is old and has history. The staff welcomed us to walk around gave us a tour of what the place was and how it came to be. The food and service are great. The staff was friendly and fun. Highly recommend

It pains me to change my review. Businesses should be allowed to operate as they see fit but customers should be allowed to voice their opinion. Demanding someone show you their papers to enter your establishment is your prerogative. I'll be spending my $ elsewhere and that sucks because The Ship is one of my favorite bars in KC. The papers I am referring to were Covid-19 shot papers that you used to require.

Haven't been to a bar in decades and had a blast. Diverse crowd. Very pleasant staff. Great entertainment. Will be back.

An unexpected great nautical atmosphere!Located in the historic industrial zone of Kansas City. A unique and innovative redesign of a building to make an unforgettable experience.Excellent drinks and great food menu.Nice staff.Multiple zones/seating areas.Street parking only.

This place is literally the ANCHOR for the West Bottoms in KC. The atmosphere is great and the Cuban sandwich is killer!! Order it with fries. Sit at the back bar if you can. Good vibes all the way around!
