Beautiful setting for a wedding! Only complaint was AC was lacking, unit was a hot day but this is Missouri and it gets hot ever summer

My husband and I loved having our baby shower at the simpson house! It is such an elegant space for any event and our guests were equally in love with the space as we were.Charles was very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We no longer live in Kansas City, but are KC natives, so we couldn't see the venue in person. He was flexible in offering video tours of the space for us while we were making a decision.Once we made a decision to go with Simpson House, all the steps, forms, dates etc. we needed to complete and be aware of were extremely clear and easy to execute. The level of organization made the typical stress of baby shower planning a lot more simple as we knew exactly what and how we needed to do things.The venue also provides all tables, chairs and tablecloths. This was such a big relief not having to worry about ordering these on our own. You are expected to setup/break down the tables/chairs yourself, but with a group of family and friends it really doesn't take too long to do so.The space itself was just perfect. We loved the original characteristics of the home - everything is just so well maintained. Having our shower at this venue really elevated the look and feel of our event.Every room was unique and flooded in natural light - it was truly such a beautiful, unique venue that I won't forget. I need to find more reasons to book this space :)

Beautiful location for events! Multiple rooms, bathroom, kitchen, outdoor porch.Close proximity to the Plaza, the Nelson. & Kemper Art Museum.

We hosted our reception at Simpson House this May and it went perfectly! The manager, Charles, was always fast to respond and answer any questions we had. The venue itself is beautiful, in a great location, and affordable. My husband’s parents got married here in the 80’s so hosting our party here was extra special. Only negative is that the cars left overnight were broken into, so I wouldn’t recommend leaving any vehicles there overnight.

I attended a wedding here and OMG it was beautiful!! Perfect! They have a beautifully manicured garden with fountains and benches and the house itself has antique wooden floors and windows. It really was an absolutely beautiful wedding a great place for any type of formal event. I wouldn't have more than 100 people here though. Because even though it is a big house with big grounds I think if we had had any more of than that it would have gotten really crowded. It was also hard to find parking. The parking lot just couldn't accommodate all of the guests so people are having to park on the street in which there were no parking signs. But other than that it really was beautiful highly recommend

A real hidden gem in Kansas City! Very convenient location off the Plaza, nearby hotels, The Southmoreland Inn, with plenty of parking. Charles made it really easy to tour the space several times both alone and with our wedding planner. The Simpson House isn't a huge interior venue, but the garden and covered porch gave us plenty of space for our wedding party and guests of roughly 85 for dinner outside and dancing, bar and food inside. There's a lovely bridal suite perfect for the special personal to dress and apply final touches. The main staircase made for a dream entrance for the bride. It was truly an intimate and magical evening! If you're looking a historic mansion with space for 50 (interior) to 100 (outside) people, absolutely take a tour. Charles made it all so easy.
