What makes it fun

The W is a multi-award winning cocktail lounge. With our seasonal menu, there is always something fresh and fascinating to explore, as well as some classic favorites. The "W" in the name refers for wraith, which meaning ghost or spirit, and is intended as a creative wordplay. Dark green walls contrast with exposed brick and dark wood floors. Leather chairs are arranged next to handcrafted tables with a golden "W" engraved on them.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! We loved the drinks, the bartender was super cool, we had an awesome discussion about some of the drinks on the menu. One of my favorite spots in the whole KC area.

Had not been there in quite some time. Nothing like I remember it being. Nothing about it says ‘speak easy’. High top tables crammed into the space, modern music (it is a speak easy right? Thought music would be era appropriate), every light in the place was on high, so no dark nostalgic vibes and PRE-MADE DRINKS!!! The drinks were good but they are PRE-MADE!!! Part of my past experience was watching the bartenders making CRAFT COCKTAILS. Just not like it used to be.

This bartender's sheer ignorance and hypocrisy are astounding! He dared to question my knowledge about creating foam on a drink, only to arrogantly dismiss it saying he doesn't have time for that. Next time, maybe try understanding your customer before throwing out challenges. Listen, mixing a sugar cube and rye doesn't make you an expert in crafting an Old Fashioned. You seriously need to get out more and learn what true bartending is about. Honestly, with your current skill set, you're better off flipping burgers than pretending to be a bartender. Goes for the bald guy behind bar making fun of people.
It doesn’t cost much to be nice but I guess you won’t understand that as you are stuck in your own fairly land little world. Next time own your responsibility and be a man enough to say you are not capable of bartending.

Super neat hole in the wall bar. Drinks are amazing and the ambiance is exactly what I expect out of a speakeasy-like bar. If you have the opportunity please sit at the bar top. These are experienced mixologist and they will actually explain the liquor and flavors. If you don’t see something on the menu that you like just ask them to make a personalized cocktail. Watch out for the old fashions… they will sneak up on you 😂 The best bar in lees summit downtown area hands down!

Wonderful. Yes, the cocktails are 15+, but it's obvious that each one was selected with care. The depth of the recipes means that each sip of a cocktail like the tequila mockingbird is a full experience.

Fun little spot, some Lee's Summit local friends took us here and we had a rather enjoyable time indeed. The drinks are really off the wall, just wild. They trended a little on the sweet side for me, but no complaints really. The atmosphere was very dark and speakeasyish, a good place for dangerous liaisons or a secret meeting of your cabal.

The most fun, unique, secret experience. Friendly bartenders and very knowledgeable. Order of their main drink menu or share you fac combos and its an influenced dealers choice! So fun! Already looking for local speakeasy back home in MN!
