Voler- Thieves of Flight, KC's Finest Aerial School and Aerial Performance Ensemble, is an edgy and creative combination of aerial dance and acrobatics performers. With our award-winning teaching, renowned performing style, creative curriculum, and supportive community, we have raised the bar. We offer aerial silks, straps, hammock, lyra, static trapeze, hand balancing, acro yoga, aerial yoga, flexibility, modern dance, contemporary dance, ambient characters, and theatrical development performances and training. Various types of dance, broken-glass walking, fire spinning, fire-breathing, bed of nails, living statues, tumbling, body balancing, and anti-gravity dance are some of the disciplines that voler performers specialize in. I've taken two classes (intermediate lyra and silks) with Voler and absolutely love the space/equipment, the building is beautiful and close to downtown KC, and the teachers are some of the best I've had in my aerial journey. They are so thorough (love the longer classes and don't feel rushed warming up, etc.), passionate, and so knowledgable. I feel I'm in great hands training here and feel so thankful to have found such a great community to practice with!

I’ve been taking classes here on and off for about 6 months and very consistently this last month. Taking the jump to try out something like aerial can be super scary, but the staff at Voler really makes it attainable for every level. I was scared starting out with no fitness experience and was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to do :).

Great & safe space for my daughter to practice and have fun doing silks. We love the instructors as they are always there and willing to help with questions during open gym. Thank you Voler!

Had a blast taking their Intro to Aerial Yoga class. The instructor was enthusiastic, friendly and very supportive and careful in providing instructions. Such a unique experience! I’d definitely recommend!

My friends and I did a weekend date day here and had an absolute blast! If you’re looking for something fun to do, definitely check this place out. Be prepared for a great workout!!!

Everyone is welcome no matter your level or body type. There are aerial and acroyoga classes for all levels within a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. It's a bohemian, eclectic sort of vibe where the goal is to have fun while exercising.

They perform every year at the Lawrence KS Busker Festival and always draw a large crowd for a good reason. They are something to behold. They make it look so easy but you know it's not. Amazing talent and feats of tremendous strength with grace and poise. If you get the opportunity to see them take it, you'll be glad you did.

As a traveling professional that has done aerial classes in several cities across the country and at different aerial studios in Kansas City, I'd have to say this place is my absolute favorite. The owner Rachel is so highly knowledgeable about her craft and is very clear in her progressions and instructions. She makes the class so much fun and the rest of the students are all cheering each other on as new skills are unlocked. Even when I was struggling with a particular skill she was able to show an alternative method to get me to complete the move. I look forward to visiting KC every time I make my way back to the Midwest.
