Westport Cafe and Bar is a charming, French-owned Parisian-style caf in the middle of Westport that serves modern French cuisine, craft specialty cocktails, and a diverse wine list. Classic delicacies like as steak frites and escargots are matched with homemade cocktails blended with fresh fruits, herbs, and spices to create one-of-a-kind libations. Every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., the restaurant serves brunch featuring American classics with a French touch.

I always love the vibe at Westport Cafe & the service was great as usual. Overall brunch was delicious but I was a little bummed on the pancakes because I expected them to be light & fluffy. They turned out pretty dense BUT it wasn’t terrible. Westport Cafe is always a good choice

Westport Cafe is a gem in Kansas City. The service is some of the best in the city. The food is delightful and extremely well executed. The cocktails are unique and well-crafted. And the atmosphere is romantic enough for an intimate date night but also doesn't restrict from the feeling of community and having the ability to have dinner and drinks with friends. This restaurant is easily in my top 10 in the city and I recommend it to everyone. Their weekly specials and happy hour are also worth checking out. It's becoming less and less walk-in friendly with open tables or bar space and is starting to require more reservations as more people find out about it, but it's a price I'm willing to pay if it means the success of a business that deserves to be booked out constantly. P.S. John Adams and David on the service staff are top notch. But also everyone else on staff is hands down some of the best people I've had the pleasure of being served by.

Sadly I should have read more of the 1 star reviews before booking a brunch reservation here. I am in agreement with the majority of the poor reviews that the service was surprisingly bad. Our server was rude and ignored us the whole time. I had to flag down other staff just to put in our order or get water. They also unfortunately do not take food allergies seriously. The menu had the shakshuka with bread labeled as dairy free. When my meal came out there was no bread… I kindly asked for some then was shockingly met with attitude from the male server (maybe the manager?). He kept arguing that the shakshuka was dairy free… but the bread is part of the meal. I wasn’t even informed when ordering that the meal would not come with bread. Overall the customer service was so bad it made the whole meal experience awkward and unpleasant for our whole party that we tried to eat and get out of there as soon as possible. Truly one of the worst dining experiences and so shocking how they handled food allergies. Needless to say I will not be coming here and will let others know to do the same. If you need any insight into how they treat customers, just look at the management responses to some of the low starred reviews…

Vibes are immaculate, came for dessert and wasn’t disappointed the chocolate mouse was possibly one of the best things I’ve ever ate. The puff pastries were also flame. 15/10

Fantastic visit! Love the food, I loved the service! Ask for John, he is the best! He loves the food. He is so enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the product that he is selling! Trust me, you won't regret the experience! I will definitely be back.

Both the food and the atmosphere was lovely (sans a little kid running around and making noise.) Loved the cocktails and appetizers, and the service was nice. Tables are too big, hard to flirt with my wife from 15 yards away on a table top for 2.

Happy hour steak frites for the win! What a fantastic price and what a fantastic little steak meal. Perfectly sized to be able to grab a dessert after or a few drinks beforehand. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the fries were great. The first truffle fries I’ve tried that weren’t kick you in the mouth truffle flavor. The cheese platter was fantastic as well. The homemade jam was delicious and the various cheeses weren’t your run-of-the-mill, common cheeses that you see at budget restaurants. Overall, we were very happy, and our server was great too. As a bonus, they have a solid whiskey lineup to choose from for all of my bourbon guys. 5/5 across the board!
