What makes it fun

Richard and Theresa spent their teenage years working hard and developing a passion for the restaurant business at their family's restaurant, the Dragon Inn. The two young entrepreneurs created the Bo Lings concept in 1981 with a powerful desire to serve the highest quality Chinese cuisine in a fine dining atmosphere. Thanks to a combination of hard work and authentic dishes made with the highest quality ingredients available, the business grew steadily and beyond expectations. The Ng family continues the long-standing family tradition by committing to offering an exciting, updated menu as well as their signature flavors. They still treat guests like family and continue to give back to the community.

Tried the dimsum experience and it was enjoyable. I heard they used to have a cart experience so I would’ve loved to try that! The items I had were delicious. Green beans were so flavorful and all the shrimp dishes were so delicious! Definitely a great option for dimsum.

Love this place, try the Mongolian Beef, and the chicken lettuce wraps for the appetizer. My kids and I go for birthdays mostly. Have been going for the last 15 years. Very beautiful, elegant atmosphere, and excellent service.

I hesitated to write this but I feel compelled to provide feedback to operators or maybe warn customers. My family went here on a Tuesday evening for dinner. It was our first time and desperate for some ‘cleaner’ Chinese food. I got very excited when we went inside as the decor and the welcome was excellent! Nice relaxing vibes although you may then need flashlights to see the menu depending on how the table lamp has luckily or unluckily provided you with shade. So the ambiance was excellent. Food is where we had a big problem. We ordered crab rangoons and green beans for apps… promising! My small kids loved the crab rangoon. They were probably the only food I could recommend there from our visit. The green beans was extra extra soaked in oil, like the oil wasn’t hot enough when it was put in the wok or something. Tasty though it left a terrible taste in the mouth. Okay there’s more. My smallest kid got the kid menu chow mein, there was a medium length blond hair on it. We all have dark hair. The food was sent back to be replaced and our kid did not have a great time waiting for his food while everybody ate so that alone, no one was gonna have a good time. Wish the server saw the hair? Looked kinda like her hair tbh. Then we had the general gao, the recommended fish soup, and crunchy beef. The general gao was sogggggggy. My kid loves all general gao. He only had a bite of this. My fish soup made me instantly ill first sip. My stomach hurt. It’s vegetable oil soup with dried peppers. My husband’s crunchy beef was far from crunchy. It was so sad. We took it all home, they were all in two large paper bags, because for some reason, we were ashamed. You know when something bad happens to you but instead of getting mad you end up hating yourself? Yeah, this was like that. We took all food to the car only to put it in the parking lot garbage can. $145 for dinner of two adults and two small kids, before tip. We left the restaurant hungry and I had food poisoning symptoms when I got home. I was the only one who had the fish soup. Anyway, I feel sorry this all happened. I can’t stop thinking about it though.

This location has to be either closed for business OR sold to the people/managers who actually care about your customers and restaurant quality. Highlights of our family lunch at this empty restaurant on Tuesday: - Hot tea per person will cost You almost $10 per person (almost $40 total) and the server did not inform us that is the case prior to ordering - Rice had a hard top layer and wet inside; Did you use frozen rice with microwave to prepare it?! - Server did not write the order and 3 / 10 dishes were not delivered but they demanded to pay for it at the end. - 1h waiting for the first meal to come out of the kitchen - Most of the meals were cold when served to us - Dim Sum was not refreshed and it seems a microwaved from frozen technique was used used to prepare it. It felt like it was some kind of bad joke on my family; which cost us over $140 for meals which almost are not even edible - Good Luck to your business model!

Best dimsum in KC. They also have good peking duck! Come here at 11 or you have to wait in line! Love their steamed dimsum!

Pros: chicken wonton soup is delicious 😋 Curry is delicious perfect amount of spice and flavor Fried rice was also very good Cons: guy up front didn't seem very happy or want to be very helpful Was told the curry was potatoes carrots green beans and chicken and it was not. It was chicken green beans carrot cabbage and mushrooms. (I'm allergic to mushrooms so was pretty disappointed but picked them out) Over all the food was delicious!

First time here and it was great. The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. Lots to choose from on the menu. The hot and sour soup was amazing. The generals chicken was great i liked that it came with a-lot of sauce and lo main was great as well. I definitely recommend this place.

Great dim sum! The cucumber salad is a must! It was very refreshing and flavorful. The price was average. So not crazy expensive for a dish. They had other food menus too so lots of varieties to choose from. Not cart style which I prefer. As a matter of fact lots of places are turning to off the menu orders. (Not sure if it’s because the environment we’re in now a days) They were pretty fast bringing out the food items though. I’d definitely go back.
