Chewology adores all things regional. We take the finest of what our local food and beverage scene has to offer and collaborate with some of the top local businesses to make their products the core essence of our products. As our entry into the Kansas City cuisine scene, we will specialize on handcrafted gyoza. We strive for an exceptional guest experience in areas other than what we bring to the table, such as relationship, atmosphere, and, most importantly, the memories guests leave with. We strive relentlessly to bring that magical experience to life, with the goal of Chewology being a region-focused, street food-inspired eatery that showcases local foods from Taiwan's streets, providing joy and inspiration along the way.

This place is HORRIBLE and to be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!

The food was edible. At least, I didn’t get hepatitis or botulism from it. But you can do much better at a takeout Chinese place for a fraction of the price.

My biggest complain about the place is that they are VERY DISHONEST and PRICE GOUGERS. I ordered some hot tea to accompany my meal (Taiwanese/Chinese, right?). It wasn’t listed on the menu, but I trusted that the price would be reasonable. When I got my bill, it was TWELVE DOLLARS ($12.00) for a small pot of Oolong tea, which most places would have charged no more than $3 or $4 for! I suppose that it’s my fault for not insisting on the price first, but it just shows how these people will take advantage of you at any opportunity.

Dine with people who won’t rip you off. Even takeout Chinese is preferable to this.

Absolutely phenomenal food. The atmosphere is perfect, easy to talk in. It's definitely a little niche but I loved the design of the restaurant.

Weston was amazing to have as a waiter and recommended the green lotus drink which was splendid!

We had the noodle eggs which did not last long at all, nor did the dumplings. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all absolutely fantastic.

We will most definitely be returning.

First time here but won’t be the last. Everything we tried from the menu was awesome. The bao, dumplings and noodles were all phenomenal. Excellent service! We’ll be back.

Thanks Chewology for a wonderful Chinese New Year! The food was awesome. We tried dishes from every part of your menu and it was authentic and tasty! Plus, the specialty drinks were delicious! We will be back!

What a wonderful experience! Great food, incredible friendly and warm service, and just the type of cozy atmosphere that warms the soul on a cold winter's night. My husband said: Can we come back tomorrow? Says it all! Congrats on creating such a great place to feed the body and the soul!

Some masking tape in my beef. But the waiter made it right. Food was pretty good, but a bit pricey for what you got. Xiaolongbao was lacking in flavor and not served with any dipping sauce.

This may be the most memorable, unique and delicious meal of my lifetime! I’ve never been one to go out for New Years or Valentines, but we celebrated the Lunar New Year by taking part in their special menu. IT IS AMAZING! And SO ORIGINAL. I’m stuffed because I had to eat everything presented to us at its freshest! Here is a picture of the main course. Every course came presented by the owner with a small explanation of its cultural significance. We love you and we’ll be back in 4 weeks and every 4 weeks after that! I also ordered their cocktail named To The Max. It’s a zingy boozy rum drink I liked enough to have twice. I give thanks to our ancestors and I’m sure to be blessed with prosperity in the new year!!

The dumplings are the best! It’s a fun casual place with an eclectic decor. Friendly staff but understaffed the evening we were there . Interesting cocktails, lots of small plates to choose from. Highly recommend!

The Antler Room is fantastic. The food is amazing, service is unbeatable, and drinks are always interesting. Mostly small plates, we like to get 4-5 for two people, but your server can help you map out a plan of attack. They're very good about food allergies as well - helping you easily steer clear of any issues. Can't wait to return!

Really wonderful food! First time here. Came at the recommendation of my daughter (happy birthday!!) and son in law, whose trip to Taiwan had sparked their love of the street cuisine there. Absolutley everything we ordered was gorgeous, perfectly prepared, and just a total treat! Service was fantastic, and the ambiance inside is much more than one would think from looking at the outside. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
