What makes it fun

Farina's menu is built around classic recipes from every region of Italy. The dishes are pure and simple, or reimagined by the hands and heart of Executive Chef Michael Smith. Chef Smith sources the freshest ingredients from local growers and farmers, including beautiful produce, fresh herbs, and succulent pork, beef and fowl. The pasta dishes are handmade each afternoon, ready to be topped with savory sauces that evening. Freshly baked focaccia is served to sop up every delicious bite.

The food was amazing; I had some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever tasted, and the pasta was absolutely scrumptious. They also brought out some bread to start, which was a nice touch. I didn’t particularly like the olive oil dipping sauce (I would’ve preferred butter), but I still appreciated the gesture.

Our server, Bill, was phenomenal. He went above and beyond by helping us cut our cake, adding candles, and even bringing out a “happy birthday” sign, such a thoughtful touch.

The drink I ordered wasn’t my favorite as it was a bit too sweet, but everything else made up for it. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and well-structured, and we even had valet parking, which made the experience feel even more elevated.

I’m giving the atmosphere a 4/5 only because it was a bit noisy, but overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

Farina in Kansas City is an absolutely wonderful restaurant! Nancy, Michael, and the entire staff are incredible, making it one of the most beautiful dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel right at home, just like family.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to them for supporting our family business and our wines. Italy is truly honored to have such extraordinary ambassadors in the United States. Thank you so much for the splendid recipe book and the deeply touching dedication you wrote for us!

Fabulous for sitting at the bar and having a solo dinner or enjoying friends at a full on fabulous wine dinner!! They happen monthly!! Well worth your time!!

The best Italian experience in America. Even better than in Italy. Special thanks to chef Michael Smith for the incredible welcome. We would never forget again in our life. I really enjoyed my experience at Farina. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were excellent. The whisky sour was outstanding. The grilled octopus was ok. The corn & shrimp agnolotti was impressive and the bolognese was solid, while it lacked salt. The star of the show for me though, besides the agnolotti, was the plum trifle! I will be back to try the ribeye and risotto 😎

Truly a great experience. My group of 6 accidentally booked a reservation at the Mexico City located and showed up at the KC location. They were so accommodating and fit us in in 5-10 minutes. Our server was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. The owner/chef came up and chatted with us. Overall, an incredible dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.
