The place was really nice and wedding and reception was great. The only downfall was there were no elevators or ramps. The steps were difficult for some folks.

We chose Hawthorne House due to having separate spaces to having the ceremony and reception. & we wouldn't have changed a thing about it! They were very easy to communicate with and not a single thing went wrong the day of. Everything was done as expected and we found the pricing comparable to other venues. We would highly recommend this venue! We also had to rent a few things from them for the wedding and the prices were fair as well as good quality items. This took a big chunk of stress off me trying to buy new things and then mess with transporting it to and from the venue.

I wish I could give Hawthorne House beyond 5 stars because this venue was beyond perfect and made my wedding day truly a dream! The staff was so helpful & knowledgeable! We LOVED that everything you possibly needed was on-site! The in-house bridal & groom suite and on-site chapel & reception space, without the hassle of flipping the room, made the wedding day run extremely smooth! We had our ceremony in the beautiful chapel & took advantage of the beautiful outdoor weather for cocktail hour - where we rented their lawn games for guests to enjoy! The venue had beautiful photo opportunities, so all photos were taken on-site! The reception space is breathtaking & so spacious. The space is perfect for an elegant dinner and a FUN dance party later in the night!

We have 0 regrets about booking at HH & hope we can go back one day to see another happy couple get married there! Hawthorne House is hands down the BEST wedding venue in KC & I know all of our family & friends agree! This venue helped us create the most special day of our lives & we are so pleased to tell others we were married here!Thank you Hawthorne House for being so incredible & beautiful!

I have such fond memories of my wedding day, and that is credited to the execution of Kim and Elizabeth, as well as the beauty of the location itself! The property truly is gorgeous; not only that, but it is incredibly functional for your special day! We chose to get married in the chapel, take photos on the property, and of course, our reception! You can also get ready on-site, including the groom and groomsmen, which I found through the wedding planning process is uncommon. Overall, I have nothing but good words to say, and I think it's fair to take a visit onsite and see the beauty yourself!

My husband and I are so grateful that we chose Hawthorne House for our big day. The venue itself is gorgeous! We loved that everything we needed was on-site - no having to drive around between the church, photos, and reception. That really made our day so much more relaxed. I LOVED that there are so many beautiful locations to photograph on property, so that you can get a variety of photos without having to leave. The bride's suite is gorgeous - 10/10. Elizabeth and her team made the planning process so easy. They are super timely, provide lots of good recommendations and suggestions (decor examples, reception layout, recommended vendors, etc), and help to make sure no detail is forgotten and that you are really prepared for your day. Quite a few of our guests said that our wedding was the best they've been to, and Hawthorne House was obviously a huge part of that.

This venue was honestly a dream come true. We chose Hawthorne house because it had both a beautiful indoor ceremony space and indoor reception space (ideal for summer weddings in Missouri). We loved that it was so easy to have a really special ceremony in a chapel, beautiful scenery to take pictures, fabulous food, and one heck of a party all in one location!!! It really seems to be good to be true, even a few weeks after our wedding. We have zero regrets about choosing Hawthorne House, and all of our family and friends agree. Thank you Hawthorne House for existing and for being so incredible!

I could not say enough how much I love Hawthorne House! I got married in July and it was the most perfect day. What makes Hawthorne House an amazing venue isn't just that the ceremony and reception are in the same location (which is amazing), but the time you have pre ceremony, the endless options you have to customize your day, and the rentals they offer! I really wanted to get ready at the venue I chose and have it pretty for pictures. This was hard to find at most of the venues I looked at. With the bridal suite at HH, it was no question that the pictures would be breathtaking! Every inch of the property really makes for amazing photos. Our favorite location? The bridge at sunset! We got married in the chapel which was perfect because I always imagined getting married in a church. This gave me my dream while also giving guests the convenience of not moving locations! My parents were so impressed with the quality of the venue, and my husband and I are so pleased to say that we got married here! We cannot wait for the day we get to come back for another happy couple's wedding!
