At HITIDES Coffee, we combine surf and sunset flavors with timeless favorites like coffee, donuts, and ice cream. HITIDES' unique spins on dole whip, a "Death by Chocolate" hot chocolate and doughnut combo, and the Black Lava Mocha are all regular favorites. HITIDES went to established Kansas City cafes for baked products Meshuggah Bagels will serve bagels daily to the caf , and Donutology will deliver donuts.

If you’re looking for good coffee, this is not it.
I got an espresso, which came in a 12 oz cup, and almost half full.

It was under extracted and lacked a lot of flavor. If espresso is the base of a lot of their drinks, then the same quality will follow.

While the coffee was excellent, the service was quite slow, and the cookies we ordered were unfortunately rock-hard.

Great space and employees. Only complaint is my iced matcha latte, took it to go and regretted not tasting it fully before I left. Initial flavor was good, but I realized after that I got a bunch of matcha powder on my first sip. I also added ube flavoring which was not noticeable at all and a bit disappointing. Still giving a 4 star because I did hear the employee who made was fairly new or new to making matcha. I look forward to coming back and hopefully having a better iced matcha latte.

Update: for visit 1/18/2024 Had a previous issue with cold egg bites after waiting 20 minutes. When I spoke with the barista on my next visit this week, he handed me a card. After leaving I read the card and it was for a Dole Whip. Seriously, 2 orders of cold inedible egg bites and ruined lunch and I am handed a card for Dole Whip. An item I have never ordered nor will I because I do not eat sugar. SMH. Very disappointed.

My mocha was really good. The employees were really nice and the environment is comfortable and inviting. We checked Google Maps before going to see how busy they were. They didn't look busy. When we walked in all the seating, while there is a lot, was taken except about 4 seats at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar. After about 10 minutes several seats opened up and we moved. It was between 3:00 and 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon. We will definitely go back.

13/10 spot!! I have never seen a happier/more beautiful interior in my life! The mixture of vintage and DIY design work is incredible. It felt like a small piece of Hawaii in KC. I will be forever in love with this place. Creative and delicious food/ drink options.

You know a place is beautiful when you spend the whole time saying, “Wow, this is so pretty!” Beautiful people make beautiful places so much better! The Baristas were patient as we navigated the Hawaiian themed menu. They made suggestions and let us try our different items so we got our monies worth. I had the Hawaiian sunset tea which featured beautiful garnish and my friend enjoyed a very smooth Rose Latte! For sure a place where you can work and enjoy a nice vibe.

This cafe has excellent tropical vibes with genuine decoration and rare collectables from around the world. The coffee is excellent the food is unique and really affordable (recommend the Mango Bagel Toast). The staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are very clean and the seating is incredibly comfortable. My experience was like visiting a friend and having breakfast in their living room. I would definitely recommend.
