Everything at J Gilbert's is very good. The wood fired steaks, chicken and lobster are all excellent. Not to mention the Manhattans are the absolutely the best in town. I would highly recommend J Gilbert's for any occasion.

First time visiting and overall very pleased. The only thing I wouldn't do again is the calamari. It was very, very greasy which made the dish feel heavier than I feel it should have. I liked the jalapeno rings it came with for flavor variation from batter and grease. I ordered the cowboy cut medium rare with lobster Mac and cheese and mushrooms. My steak was cooked well and flavorful. As good as my steak was, shockingly the lobster Mac stole the show. I normally have my steak first and take my sides home because I can never finish it all. I couldn't help myself once I tried it, I finished that first. I would absolutely love if this was a main dish! The ambiance and music of the restaurant were comforting as well. Our server was fun, attentive, and quick. It was a pleasant first experience and I would definitely come back again.

My wife and I both did the 3 course meal. Each had steak, sides, dessert and cocktails. The steak was excellent for the price. The smoked old fashioned was one of the best I’ve had. My wife loved the lobster Mac n cheese. I thought the atmosphere and value were excellent. It’s nice that they have a 3 course option that may be pricey but you get a lot considering what you are paying for. We will definitely be back.

My first time ever official 3 course meal. Bread, soup/salad appetizer, entree and side dishes and finished it off with a dessert. Worth every dollar. Delicious food and setting for different occasions. The server I had was friendly and helpful. I got a citrus chicken tortilla soup, KC strip with fries and creamy bacon corn, and creme brulee. 🤌

Was very excited to come here because I had heard great things about this place. And it was great. We went for restaurant week. I had the Maine Crab Bisque first and it was great! Loved the flavor and the kick it had. Next I had the Maple Plank Roasted Salmon with her roasted potatoes and asparagus. The whole dish was great. The salmon was cooked well and tasted good. The roasted potatoes were great. My partner got the 6 oz center cut filet and it was very good as well. I had their lemonade to drink and it was fantastic. I love homemade lemonade.
