The Barrera family has refined traditional meals with a combined 45 years of culinary experience, creating nuanced, authentic Mexican flavors using only the freshest ingredients. We take great satisfaction in delivering genuine Mexican cuisine crafted with the finest ingredients accessible to our visitors. To ensure optimum flavor, our salsas are created daily throughout the day, and our homemade tamales are made with fresh masa and wrapped in corn husks for the best taste and moisture retention. Service was a bit behind but that was because there was only one waiter there. She was very nice and the food was great. Not a big place, just tucked behind smoothie king in parkville. Quesadilla with the birra meat was delicious. Birra burrito was good as well, good size. Margaritas were okay. Strawberry was good. The pineapple margarita they ran out of pineapple juice for so subbed it for mango which wasn't too bad at all. I'll for sure go back to try more items on their menu.

I’ve been in a few times for Happy Hour. I always get the nachos, and this time I tried the birria style. Big platter, great price! I don’t drink much but have tried their frozen strawberry margarita, since they’re only $5, and really enjoyed it with a salted rim. Friendly staff.

A bit pricey (even requiring you to pay for chips & salsa - very unusual) but the good was good, and the waitress was friendly and upbeat.

We loved the food. Enchiladas and taco salad were delicious.
We didn't love paying $5 for chips and salsa. We've never paid for chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant before.

Luna Azteca used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. I've followed them through 3 moves. It's sad to see some of these negative reviews. Hopefully they get their act together.

I'm a hardcore Carne Asada fan and Luna Azteca knocked it out of the park for me! So so so delicious!! I will definitely be bringing my family back!!!
