I bought a VIP table, Through StubHub…Unfortunately, my tickets had a bad link… I had receipts. I had ticket numbers, emails, order numbers… but I did not have the “Ticketmaster tickets”!!! There are only 10 VIP tables in the entire venue!!! I bought one…I asked the woman at the ticket window to simply check to see if anyone else is sitting at our table!!! SHE KNEW from the very first moment that the tickets were already paid for!!! She ADMITTED IT!!! They also knew we spent $400 to be there!!! Only 10 VIP tables exist in the whole joint!!! There was absolutely no question about whether or not a purchase had been made!!! YET, they still made me buy new tickets… even though I had already paid nearly $400… I dropped another $200. They said “gave me a deal”. They said “we’ll only make you buy one extra ticket!!!”… All the evidence I need right there! By providing me a discount they are ADMITTING that they CLEARLY KNOW I had already paid…They could’ve just LET ME INSIDE!!! So now I have three tickets, and I’ve missed the opening of the concert. I suspect the females were spiteful of my beautiful wife… angry women wanting to see my cheerful wife, languish and cry about missing the Buckethead concert on her 20th anniversary!!! … I paid for the VIP experience and I got THE WORST service! I’m not a VERY IMPORTANT PERSON to Madrid Theatres! Their guests comfort is NOT A PRIORITY! They clearly took MY MONEY, and they refused to render the services I PAID FOR!!! Why did I need to buy the third ticket??? To satisfy who?? Who does it satisfy that I pay for a third ticket??? What rule required this??? Couldn’t they have simply let us into the venue??… SOMEONE could’ve made the decision to simply look at the totality of the evidence and make a unilateral decision to provide good service to paying customers…But they didn’t…they could have taken us at our word, checked our story out…let us in and observed us…and if a problem emerged, they could’ve kicked us out and said “you guys are liars, you’re banned forever!!!” …NOW I am banning them!! I will never go to Madrid theaters again!!! When I paid for that third ticket and I got inside, I saw MY table completely empty!!! There was no double booking: There was no confusion. I was obviously the rightful purchaser of that table. The woman working upstairs was delightful!!! She understood immediately we had been mistreated by the door staff and allowed us to sit at OUR private table, rather than share another VIP table, because it was OURS; ITS PREPOSTEROUS to think otherwise!! What kind of a scam do these people think I’m trying to pull??? This is low-trust society at its worst… My wife and I were dressed to the nines, wearing our finest attire to a concert where we paid premiums for the VIP experience…I tipped over $100 to the bar…I was dropping $20 bills in everyone’s hand…tipping the ushers!! Those $20 bills won’t be there the next time, because I’m not showing up!!! I’m treated like a criminal when I’m a valued paying customer!!! It makes no sense that I was not allowed inside.… WORSE YET, they denied entry to a disabled veteran who had a brain injury…he was in line directly in front of me. He was denied entry because some snotty redhead female working the door determined he was not fit to attend a concert due to his shaking head and puzzling demeanor… A concert is a place people go to drink and bounce their head around anyways… this guy was clearly suffering a brain injury… and she mistreated him… His veteran buddy, who clearly had PTSD, was so outraged that he left the concert. He ran off!! His friend was being mistreated and it upset him so much!! Thinking about it now makes me cry… Why were they mistreating these veterans? Why were they mistreating me and my wife? These people don’t understand the hospitality business, acting like cops… They need to get bent. They’re disgusting . Its revolting to think about… their mistreating people like this every day… this place is trash

Was here for an EDM concert. Felt like a great venue. Door folks were efficient and personable.

I like these small, older venues. For the right show, I'd go back.

The show we went to here was intimate and AMAZING!!! One of the staff members watching the crowd was being kind of mean, but it was still awesome. AND the lady in charge of tickets and shows helped us trade in for better tickets!

Such a nice venue! We saw a concert here. It was really the perfect size, not too big, or too small. It’s beautiful inside!

Drink prices were fairly reasonable. Staff was friendly when interacting them. We don’t live in Kansas City, but I would definitely come back here!

I absolutely loved the Madrid Theater. We saw Leo Kottke and he was incredible. The venue had easy access, and very clean. They had a bar and the wait was not long. In general a great place.✨

A fantastic venue for theatrical style events. Stage lighting is very nice, but it's elevated than an idle height. Front view was awesome, although pillars are spoiling the appearance. Love the place.

We loved having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Madrid Theatre! The Madrid is great because it includes so many necessities for your wedding day: tables, chairs, linens, bar package, security guard, bar glassware, candles/vase glassware, easels. It's also a beautiful venue in general, and there's enough space to hold both your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place.

I'd also like to specifically acknowledge Missy, the venue coordinator. She's so well-versed in weddings and events at the Madrid, I had an immense amount of confidence that everything at the venue would go well during the wedding. She answered all of my questions leading up to the wedding in a very timely manner, and was very helpful during the rehearsal and the actual wedding. Would absolutely recommend hosting your wedding at the Madrid!
