This is a great place to dine for a nice dinner. Good cocktails and great entrees. I always have a good time coming here. I really enjoyed their tar tar. Definitely a top 10 fine dining spot in KC.

We had dinner at Novel while my friends were in town, and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Kansas City. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely welcoming.

The food was incredible. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real intention behind the menu. The drinks were just as impressive, well crafted and perfectly balanced.

In my opinion, Novel is easily one of the absolute best restaurant options in Kansas City. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on service, food, and overall experience, this is it.

The food at this restaurant is top notch. Above and beyond most all KC restaurants. We had a lovely dinner. We started with butternut squash soup and tartare. Both were so good, it was insane. For dinner we had scallops and the lamb, just INCREDIBLE. Everything on our plates was just delicious. I'm quite sure no matter what you ordered.It would be perfect. It just top of the top notch restaurants.

If you are looking for a truly gourmet experience in Kansas City this gem meets the need. Lobster ravioli and pork rib chop were our choices and did not disappoint! Trey provided exceptional guidance and knowledge.

Great dining experience and far better than what I experienced yesterday in McCook Nebraska.
This is the quality five star experience only few truly know.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened, but we’re blessed with good restaurants in KC, and I can’t believe I haven’t tried it yet. Went for restaurant week and everything was delicious and had great service. Our server helped us make good picks throughout and shared his love of wine. The standout was the lobster ravioli, the pasta was cooked to perfection. I’ll be back!

Quite a busy place, mostly has two seaters, rightfully so. Was a bit disappointed in not finding items seen on Google Photos associated with the business, but the menu changed occasionally, I was told. Current Menu is available at novelkc site. The food was good. All of them were new to me, except the deserts, which were more familiar. From the menu, Tartare, Duroc, Walleye, Ramen, Pistachio, and Pineapple Upside Down.

The atmosphere and service in this place is amazing. We did the “shareable”
Experience and was fun. The food.. well I have mixed feelings. We order three appetizers; the crudo, Brussels sprouts and the farm egg. All three appetizers were phenomenal, my fav was the crudo. From the second course, we ordered the ravioli, great! Now the entrees, were not as great. We ordered the scallops, chicken and pork chop. The presentation was beautiful but i have to say I was very dissatisfied with the flavor. The scallops were overcooked, and had a strong seasoning that I couldn’t figure out. Wasn’t able to finish one. The chicken… did not like it at all. Didn’t taste fresh and had no flavor except for the glaze. The pork chop, also flavorless, and so hard… now the spicy pork belly on the plate was really good.
A very good experience, I don’t think I’m returning but glad I tried it.

A hidden gem in a beautiful hotel. This is my second time here and can say the food and craft cocktails are great. Their diverse menu offer everyone something they can enjoy. I sat at the bar and Larry did a fantastic job of making me a classic old fashioned.
