Jeremy was our server for a dinner my company was hosting for a group of doctors and he was the absolute best. The Mac n cheese was delicious! The broccoli was banging & the chicken was superb!!! I didn’t eat the carrot cake but everyone else had great things to say about it!! The Cesar salad was okay but that’s because I prefer bacon in mine.
Our server was top notch. Great food. Glass of champagne and cheesecake for the birthday girl!
I don't even know where to begin with this place. Ocean Prime is the BEST restaurant. My first time visiting was 12/5/23 for my birthday. When I say my server Jamison went above and beyond, he did just that! Customer service was top tier, the lamp chops were amazing. The cherry on top of the cake was the champagne toast complementary of the restaurant. 10/10 highly recommend. If you want to feel like a celebrity this is this place for you. You won't regret choosing Ocean Prime. I can't wait to come back.
I cannot say enough great things about Ocean Prime! It is always a must when we visit KC.
The food was just okay. Teriyaki Salmon, just the fish, was the only thing well prepared besides the sourdough bread. Staff was great, valet parking was easy, bathrooms were well stocked with complimentary items. Dark and moody atmosphere gave it a cool vibe but the food was underwhelming. Im sure that they source high quality ingredients, but it doesn’t really matter if the food isn’t prepared great + flavorful. Given the price point vs the actual taste of the items on the menu, I cannot recommend this place at the moment. Maybe they missed the mark this time since there are other reviews that rave about this location.
We had a lovely dinner in the bar with Mikaela. Top notch service. Unfortunately, management is trash. I believe if you spend $500 on dinner you deserve a modicum of respect as a guest.
This is a great fine dining place and the food recommendation is delicious. We celebrated my beautiful wife’s birthday here and she was well taken care of by amazing servers, Jevene and Denise . Our appetizer we had the Surf N Turf- Scallops, Braised Short Rib, and Gremolota. My wife’s entree was the special, Halibut with Parmesan truffle fries for the side, and I had Chilean Sea Bass with whipped Potatoes. We ended the night with warm Butter cake and it was the best way to end our dinner. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Classy and elegant!
My wife and I had a incredible Dinner at Ocean Prime for our 13th Anniversary. The service and the food was probably too two in Kansas City. Hands down the best and freshest sushi around. My wife had the Dynamite Roll and loved it.she had the diver scallops with parmesan risotto as her Entree and loved it.I had the ocean roll and I have never had seafood that fresh around here. As a entree I had the Halibut with a lobster and corn succotash. The corn was seared perfect we will return
This is probably the best restaurant in Kansas City. I have eaten at most of the high end restaurants in a 40 mile radius and Ocean Prime delivered in every aspect. The circuses were first class. The food and drinks were to die for. The service! Courtney our waitress and the staff up front were absolutely amazing. We let Courtney order most of our food and drink without discretion. She surprised us and did not let us down. I cannot say enough about this place. The pictures will speak for themselves. This is where the saying goes... You get what you pay for and it was well worth it.
Overall: perfect addition to the Broadway scene in KC! of all I think its a spot for lunch or happy hour as well as a spot for intimate date night. The vibe was energetic and sophisticated. Our wait staff accommodated our requests made during the reservation.Food: treat yourself to the appetizer. If you're unsure, go for the gouda tater tots. The Shrimp Tempura warmly melts in your mouth and is topped with a perfectly seasoned lump of extra spicy shrimp. Surf N Turf appetizer was perfectly pan-seared scallops and delicious braised beef.Entrees: I ordered the chicken and hubby ordered the Crispy fish sandwich. I wasn't a fan of the chicken since it was not tender as expected but the Crispy fish with lobster bisque were tasty.We ended the meal with a celebratory Yellow birthday cake that was sweetened with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top.Only Con: the music was so loud we had to move our seats closer together to hear each other.
