The food was ok, but not memorable and pretty overpriced. Our server was super nice though! It was really cold inside and there's a giant staircase out have to walk up to get inside - no elevator in sight, which is really frustrating. Doesn't seem like an accessibility-friendly restaurant. Probably won't be back.

We have always enjoyed our experience at Piropos. The food is incredible! Service is attentive. It’s consistent and a joy to experience. We have eaten here easily 20 times over the last 10 years and it’s maintained its high quality atmosphere and menu. They have beautiful stained glass everywhere. The mixed grill plate is always fantastic.

Try the three for $12 empanadas. All are good, but the beef one was really delicious. The shrimp and scallop pasta dish, pork chops, trout, and added some crab cakes--all were incredible! Great wait staff. Fun, but elegant decor, with some impressive views.--A true special gem of Kansas City!

I finally treated myself to dinner at Piropos up in Briarcliff, and the views alone are worth it. You are sitting on a hill looking out at the Kansas City skyline, which feels super fancy, though I almost immediately knocked over my water glass trying to take a picture like a total klutz. The inside has a lovely, warm European vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. The food was incredible from start to finish. We started with flaky, delicious homemade empanadas that we ate in about two seconds flat. For the main course, I went with the peppercorn-encrusted filet mignon. It was cooked to absolute perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and swimming in an insanely rich brandy cream sauce. The au gratin potatoes on the side were equally comforting and cheesy. We capped off the night with their famous banana cake, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It was huge, incredibly moist, and layered with cream cheese icing. It is definitely a nicer, pricier spot best saved for a special night out, but between the attentive service and the steaks, it was a flawless experience.

We had a very nice experience. As an Argentinian living in Kansas I am always looking for places to eat good food. We ordered the linguini (veggie version) and they were very good. My hubby ordered the milanesa sandwich’s and the flat bread pizza, both delicious. Our fav the empanadas! Yummy! 🤤 For desert we had the chocolate torta, also very good. Location: it is very nice, you can see the city from the upside area and close by there is a lovely pound to walk. Our server was very good. We recommend this places for a nice couple dinner

For Mother’s Day, we decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants here in KC… Piropo’s. This restaurant never disappoints with its attentive, friendly staff (always!), great selection of food and wine, and beautiful views of the city (even more romantic at night). The Peach Bellini was excellent and as always, the crab cakes, along with everything we had, were outstanding! (The crab cakes are always filled with lump crabmeat with every bite. FYI, this is available as an appetizer if you decide to come here for dinner. The Chimichurri… outstanding with steaks/bread. Also, try their ribeye and risotto!!) For what we had to include tax and tip on Mother’s Day, it was around $70/person.

What a delightful experience we had here! Piropos is not only in a great location, it offers wonderful food and a dining experience that you'll want to share with your friends and family! We came in on a snowy evening and the atmosphere was just right; warm & welcoming, perfect lighting and the friendliest staff! The food we chose was just incredible; not pictured is the empanadas because they were so delicious I forgot to snap a photo of them before we devoured the entire dish. We chose two of their specials for the evening (filet and medallions) and ended with ended with a red velvet cake for dessert. The steaks were prepared with perfection and the risotto was creamy and so full of flavor, I can't wait to come again to try more of their fantastic menu! It was a dark evening, but I'm sure the view of downton KC during daylight hours is spectacular! We will definitely keep this little gem on our radar for another special dining experience in the future, highly recommended!

Went here for the first time and loved the personality and attention from the bartender/waitress. She thoroughly went over her favorite menu items and gave us an interesting history of the restaurant. The ambience onside was top-notch!

I dined here during restaurant week and was impressed! The food was delicious; I've never had Argentinian food before so I can't comment on the authenticity, but it was still good. The hostess was very sweet, and our waiter was prompt and professional. Overall a great experience, and will definitely be returning in the future!

I went here for restaurant week, and let me tell you, this was such an incredible experience. Piropos in Briarcliff impressed me during restaurant week! The warm and dimly lit ambiance and impeccable service complemented the exquisite Argentinian dishes. I loved everything I had and tried my best not to lick the plate! Not to mention that the portions were amazing 🥵🍛

I have lived in Buenos Aires for 6 years and have been to Piropos several times now and it doesn't disappoint! The dishes are catered to more of a US taste preference which I don't mind because I like a little extra but the Beef empanadas and the decoration of the bar area/bathrooms take me right back! The service is always impeccable. One night there was a magician doing different tricks for each table and he was amazing, really made our night the last time we were in. I would 10/10 recommend. My only suggestion would be to offer Provoleta as an appetizer - I miss it and think it would be a hit!

We went in for our daughters 16th Birthday and we had the pleasure to be served by Ben. The environment can be intimidating walking up into a packed restaurant, Ben made us feel at home. Great server, explained the menu very well and made some recommendations. He did give us a sample of their bread while we waited for our meal. Everyone loved their food. Portions were just right. I'd recommend this place for a quality date or anniversary. We will be back and asking for Ben again.

My steak was fantastic, not many places do Pittsburgh blue correctly. My only complaint is the bathroom sinks; the basens were so shallow it was difficult to wash my hands without spraying water all over my front.

Piropos is ‘over the top’ in terms of ambiance, staff, service and quality of food. My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary. The staff extended their congratulations to us a number of times and surprised us with a dessert after dinner. In summary, expect great service, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere for dining and/or special occasions.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, appealing food, large portions and very delicious food and drinks. The choice are so many to choose from as well as the huge choice of drinks. Our server was professional, fun and friendly. The establishment followed COVID Safety by ensuring space between tables were secure. The entire experience was amazing, the cleanliness inside and outside, arts displays all over the walls and I enjoyed the vintage European style everywhere. I will definitely be back. (We went for the valentines special for 2022 and the four course meal options we affordable and perfect.)
