Room 39 has become a fixture in for Dinner, Lunch, and Breakfast, combining seasonal ingredients and excellent value with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Breakfast and lunch are relaxed affairs, with a dining room of beautifully handcrafted tables and simple yet exquisite food like our steak and eggs benedict, fresh pasta, and our popular half-pound burger. Dinners are more formal but still affordable, with an award-winning wine list and a daily tasting menu featuring locally sourced produce and meat. Local farmers who use sustainable harvesting and growing practices, according to Chef Ted Habiger, produce the best tasting food.

The food tasted decent but was very overpriced for the portion size. I ordered the gnocchi and got 6 pieces that were swimming in sauce and served on a small salad plate. My husbands dish was also tiny. The bread was complementary but was so hard it was not enjoyable to eat. In total we spent $75 and left very hungry. The service was pretty lackluster as well. Or server did not check in with us other than taking our order and giving us the bill. We will not be back.

Went for lunch to celebrate my birthday for the first time and wow! The food was amazing. We ordered mushroom gnocchi, veggie burger and their crème brûlée. Loved the food! Will definitely come back

LIFE CHANGING!!!!! I dream about their crab cakes everyday! They melt in your mouth and taste heavenly! The desserts are so rich and I ate everything so quick that I forgot to take pictures of the rest…. RECOMMEND 10000000% BUT YOU WILL BE HOOKED ON THE CRAB CAKES FOR LIFE!!!! (Also the service is so nice, the servers make you feel like you’ve been best friends with them since childhood!)

RM 39 was a great brunch. Our server, Laurel, was attentive and friendly. I had the chicken livers, which came with a great sauce. The livers were tender and mild and tasted great. My brunchmates who had coffee really liked the coffee, and they are tough to please. I was a little jealous of the friends who ordered the croque madame, it looked amazing. I am getting that next time!

This place is classy and simple, with a well thought out menu and friendly staff. Their brunch menu in particular is fantastic, and the food itself is delectable. Even their coffee is great. I've made reservations and walked in on a complete whim and for as small as this place is, they try their best to get you seated. I like this establishment a lot

I would’ve gave 5 stars but parking is IMPOSSIBLE and the restaurant itself is pretty pretty small. Besides that, the food and service were easily 10/10!

In KC for a vacation and went to Room 39 for breakfast. The restaurant has a great atmosphere even if slightly cramped. We made a reservation which was not required, but was a good call as the restaurant is not very big - when we got there, there was maybe 3 tables open inside and both outside tables were also open, but when we left only 1 table was open, so I would recommend making a reservation.

My wife got the Artichoke Toast, I got the Croque Madame, and 1 of our teenage boys got the Waffles and the other got the Brioche French Toast. You know all were excellent when we were arguing about who had the best. I sampled them all and they were all great. One thing we all agreed on was that the breakfast potatoes were fantastic & I would recommend getting them with any order!

The coffee was solid, not the best I've ever had but good and hot. All the meals were in the $12-$13 range and the drinks were $3.50 even the coffee, which I thought was a little high, but maybe not for KC.

Overall it was an A+ experience and we would recommend eating here to anyone.
