A restaurant that uses local flavors and farms to celebrate Midwestern recipes, customs, and culture. Rye honors the Midwestern dishes that chefs Megan and Colby Garrelts grew up on and have shared with multiple generations. Rye honors the Midwest's traditional cuisine, such as luscious smoked pork chops, matured steaks, bbq ribs, fried chicken, seasonal veggies from the garden, Parker House rolls, freshly prepared pies, fruit cobblers, and layer cakes, to name a few. Chefs employ fresh, regional goods and products, including produce from their own family farm.

Rye is a great spot to eat in the Plaza Area with delicious meals using fresh ingredients. The chicken was great, and pimento cheese dip was a definite win.

Party of 7 for lunch. Everyone was delighted with their meals, but a bit disappointed they had initially took our orders from the wrong menus on the table and thought we were ordering from the brunch menu at first. They apologized, gave us the correct menus, and we still had amazing cocktails (delicious bloody Mary and espresso martinis), lunch dishes, and a very attentive server. 9/10 recommend!

We went to celebrate my birthday with our favorite night at Rye KC, Monday Night Steak Night. Our server, Caitlyn, was awesome. The food was sensational and it was an incredible evening.

You have got to try this place. Goat cheese appetizer is the best and the cinnamon rolls, oh my! Sat at the bar, great drinks and service. A MUST visit.

Overpriced is an understatement anyone who wants to charge over $80 for a $12 steak is going to have to bring a lot more to the table than some kitch and some under pickled pickles. Added a start for the drinks, only thing on the menu worth the price.

Yesterday was my first time ever going to Rye Plaza, and I was truly blown away with the atmosphere, food, and our AMAZING Waitress. She was very polite, patient and she served my family of 6 with a smile. In this time of everyone's life, we all need a smile with so much going on. My family and I was able to enjoy ourselves with love, laughter, and joy 😊

I went there strictly because I heard the pie was awesome. I ordered the Chocolate Mokan and it was horrible. It had no flavor, the only piece of chocolate pie I've ever had that didn't taste like chocolate, it was dry and hard hard. It looked like a turd that had been molded into a shape of a piece of pie with added peanuts. Tippins chocolate pie at Price Choppers is 100% better than the chocolate pie at this restaurant. If I could give it zero Stars I would.

Celebrating mine & my daughter’s February birthdays. Rye is one of our fav places for amazing food! Always have to have the signature Goat cheese & honey” mmmm!!!

If you have the opportunity to meet Billie (sorry if I misspelled it), you definitely should. He is the shining star of this establishment & made our experience so enjoyable. Our waitress was very attentive as well. We started with a GINORMOUS cinnamon roll (my picture does not do it justice). Dessert first, right? I then ordered the Shrimp & Grits. Best I've ever had!! Mom ordered the Two Piece Fried Chicken & I snuck her drumstick. The outer crispness paired with the inner juicyness was over the top delicious. I will definitely be returning.

Awesome local restaurant with a wonderful, down to earth staff. Paul the GM and Erica who was our bartender were extremely accommodating as this was our first visit to Kansas City. Chatted with us about their establishment and other local places to visit and must go eateries! We were there for happy hour and had a blast! Highly recommend. Great cocktails and beer selection. Ordered the deviled eggs and bbq pork rinds which were delicious. Definitely want to go back for brunch! Just go!!

Rye was really great. There were several flavors that just went together! The beet salad was great as well as the shrimp and grits! The pork chop was a hit and the lemon meringue pie really finished off the night! We will be back! The atmosphere was a welcoming classy feel with great food to follow.
