The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. It was the smallest room in the house, but it had a nice little balcony overlooking the patio. I would have liked to have a desk in my room, perhaps in place of the large chair, but I understand that space was limited. The decor, in general, was plain-clean, simple, nice enough, but not, perhaps, what one might expect in a luxury mansion. To be fair, I was in the cheapest room, up in the servants' quarters.
The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated that they listened to customer feedback and added a mini-fridge in the closet. The bathroom was typical hotel fare, nothing special, but functional enough.
Public spaces include a cozy lounge, a formal dining room, and a sunroom with several tables and a porch swing. There is a microwave available, as well as a toaster, for your breakfast, if you bring your own bread and toppings. They also welcome you to use their silverware, which is handy when the delivery place inevitably forgets to include a fork.
Overall, I would describe the place as a peaceful getaway that is still convenient to city amenities.
