What makes it fun

We have a fantastic event venue. We don't think you'll find anything like us anyplace else in town! We're rustic, vintage, and quaint, with a lot of "old" and a little "new." We are located in the Crossroads Arts District in a lovely, historic building that has been lovingly refurbished to provide modern amenities while retaining the original beauty and architectural characteristics that make us so unique. There is exposed brick, textured walls, and old plaster throughout. Our Bride Room is adorable and comfortable specifically for you and your girls, and our Groom's Room is handsome and dapper just for your lads. From our event room, we have an incredibly breathtaking view!

The Bauer was the first vendor we booked for our October wedding & we're so happy that we did. We loved everything about our experience at the Bauer including the staff, the space itself, and the operations of the building. We appreciated being able to go to several Bauer Hours to get a better sense of our vision & were beyond happy with every interaction with Emily, Erica & everyone else on staff. Everyone was so warm, welcoming & accommodating - it felt so different from some other venues we looked at. It was perfect for us & our day there was magical . Can't recommend this beautiful space enough.

Not ADA compliant. No visible signage or evidence of handicap parking or directions to freight elevator in back.

First time there was for an event. More floors than I expected; leaving was bit of an issue in finding the front of the building.

As a Wedding Officiant here in Kansas City I get to see so many fantastic Wedding Venues and Simpson House is among very best. It's located in such cool Historic Area in Midtown Kansas City, and is elegant and offers the ambiance of an era gone by. So very cool. I think it's the perfect spot for a wedding of 150 guests or less. They've always been very professional and easy to work with, so I recommend Simpson House without reservation.

Great venue for weddings and other gatherings. The event space is a blank canvas that needs little decor as the windows over look down town KC.

Great space for photos as it has a ton of historic/vintage looking backdrops within the venue.

We loved the Bauer for our wedding! The Bauer hour was helpful and having access to view the space was clutch. They have a well established rental routine where we knew exactly what to expect. Their packages are very clear into the point and their communication is very efficient and effective. The spaces themselves were absolutely beautiful and being able to run the lounge space, the furniture, and the bride and grandma‘s rooms really made the experience special. We were our own DJ and the sound system was great as well as the ambience throughout the evening being able to control the lights. After looking at nearly a doused venues across the mentro, we found the the Bauer was a great balance of beautiful accommodations and affordability.
