Could not come to KC without trying this restaurant & so glad I did. Ordered the salmon egg scramble for brunch, which sounded interesting and made me nervous at the same time as I've never thought about fish + eggs. WOW! So so good. Bloody Mary was perfection! Love the different options for mimosa juices too. Staff were all super friendly. Music, decor and ambience was comfortable, clean and on point. Bring Rockhill Grille to Texas please!

Looking for a great place to eat downtown Kansas city that has great atmosphere with amazing food and drinks.... then I highly recommend Rockhill Grille! Great food and amazing service with chill atmosphere.

Dinner before a show. We had reservations and we're seated upstairs right away. The area gave me a 1920's vibe, dark wood walls with plenty of lighting but it set a great mood. I told my wife, they should have the curtains open for a beautiful view of downtown KC. After sitting with our backs to those same curtains we found out why they were closed. It was so cold and the curtains were moving...like the air conditioner was on. Juan dud a marvelous job of taking care of us, thank you Juan. The deviled eggs with Pimento cheese and Peppadew peppers were really good. My wife had the Steak Frites with an expresso rub. Cooked just right but tasted kinda burnt, she said. I got the Rockhill burger and it is too beef patties with Tillamook cheese and Rockhill sauce. It had so much flavor. The surprise were the tater tots. Four large tots with cheese on the inside and a garlic aioli. No need for ketchup... nooooo. They were perfect on their own. Overall a wonderful meal. Next time we will try something different on the menu.

I have never left a review before, but I had to for this place. I live a 5 min walk away. I ordered the crab Rangoon dip and it’s so bad. It did not come warm and has a very bad taste. Charging $16 for something like that is absurd. No visible chunks of crab either. Would not recommend!!!

The hanger steak with the shoe string fries was delicious. Had the bruschetta as an appetizer. Look at the size of that thang. And the chicken was good too. Perfect date night spot.

You would be forgiven for walking right past the Rockhill Grille; despite the large old-school sign, pinpointing the entrance can be a bit challenging. But after passing through a porch style door past a vestibule up to the host’s counter, you will be treated to a feast for the eyes and stomach. The place has a comfortable, vaguely vintage flair that does not intimidate; quite the opposite it invites and embraces you with soft 20’s-esque filament bulbs and a tough, reliable hardwood frame. It has the heart of blue-collar working class charm despite the fine-dining level of operation.

I had a Turkey Club with Truffle Fries, washed down with a Guinness Dry Stout (kiss me, I’m Irish!) and I had the beer and sandwich in whipcrack time; the wait staff are friendly and utter consummate professionals. The kitchen were demonstrated to be pros when I bit in and sighed with joy; toasted multigrain, lettuce leaf, avocado, thick smoked turkey, crispy applewood bacon and chipotle aioli worked in orchestral harmony to blow my mind to the roof. The fries, served with ketchup, were crunchy and fluffy straight cut spuds, coated in a delightful truffle oil and herb blend. I scarfed it down with gusto and admired the view of the distant financial district as my fellow patrons chatted; they displayed a cross-section of local businesspeople and well-to-do Kansas Citians in business casual to full suits and dresses.

I left The Rockhill Grille full in the belly but more importantly full in the spirit; it has refreshed me in a way that only good food served with care can do. I wish a thousand awards and all the joy in the world to these fine folks; thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful experience.

We planned a Saturday birthday brunch for a close friend and could not have been more pleased! Everything was amazing! Our waitress Ariel was attentive and extremely friendly. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. One of my friends is a "picky eater" so when she finished every bite of her omelette, I knew it was a hit! I definitely recommend Rockhill Grille to anyone who wants to have an great dining experience!

It was a pleasure eating here. The prime rib sandwich was delicious and the atmosphere is great for hanging with friends. Highly recommend to anyone in the Downtown KC area who appreciates good service.

So here is the deal. Remember this is not really a family place rather think of it as a better place to take your date. Know the menu and prices before you go and you will not be surprised out disappointed. I attended a large group party of a surprise engagement party. Food is fantastic for steak and special meals. Not great menu for kids. You can still get chicken fingers and french fries or what I did with my 13 year old is split the double cheeseburger with fries. However the 17 year old took full advantage of the steak. Each party that came handled their own checks and the waitress was great about that. Everyone unification food taste excellent but the number one thing everyone liked was the tater tots. So make sure to try them. I had two meals - the burger and the filet then two drinks- mocktail and the outrigger- with tax came to 85.01 since large party mandatory gratuity added of 31.25 brought total to 116.26. So food taste great, service great, know what you are going into as this is great place for a date.

Nice and beautiful location. We were able to get a patio table without a reservation and no wait time. They have a good variety of appetizers, salads, seafood, poultry, beef dishes plus desserts and of course, drinks.

This time I opted for a light meal and I had the seafood salad as my main. It was a great choice. The seafood tasted so fresh and light, but at the same time delicious. It had shrimps, octopus and squid, plus the greens and red peppers. It also had some potatoes.

Husband and I shared calamari for appetizer and the tater tots, they were amazing as other reviews said. They have cheese inside and a crispy warm texture outside. We took the leftovers and even the next day were delicious.

Husband had a roasted chicken that was very tasty. He loved it. We will definitely come back.
