The Raphael Hotel, Autograph Collection is a luxurious Kansas City Plaza hotel with a rich history. Our hotel was originally built in 1927 and served as the home for residents of Villa Serena Apartments. In 1975, we underwent a transformation that made us one of the most unique and upscale hotels in Kansas City. We pride ourselves on offering personal service and a luxurious experience to all our guests. Our guest rooms are spacious and complete with luxury bedding, offering travelers a haven of peace and relaxation in the middle of the city.

Absolutely adored our stay. Yolanda and Florian were so kind and went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The room itself was clean and beautifully taken care of. Great location to walk to dinner, breakfast or go on a romantic gondola ride. Could not have asked for a better stay for our anniversary. Dare I say, this will become a yearly tradition.

I wish I had cancelled my reservation! I too booked a plaza view suite. They also put me in 101 a two-room suite adjoining my son's room 102. Both with a ground level view. Very dated and tight bedrooms, with long wait times for hot water in the shower and during the mornings you ran out of hot water. To make matters if the noise outside wasn't bad enough, the restaurant and lounge was RIGHT below you. The coffee maker made more coffee than the hotel provided mugs could hold..."fill to here". The entire hotel is dump! I moved my reservation to this hotel after the Marriot Residence Inn said ALL their elevators were broken. My name is Francis X. A 5 star experience everytime i visit. Tracee and John are consummate professionals who provide exceptional customer service. They make you feel like royalty at this hotel all of the staff are wonderful!

We went for our anniversary and the stay was excellent! The front desk and valet staff are very professional and friendly. The manager who checked us in gave us complimentary drinks to help us celebrate! The room was nice and spacious and well worth the money! Great location!

It would be impossible for me to say enough nice things about this hotel to do it justice. Absolutely fabulous top to bottom. Attention to every detail. Monogrammed sheets monogrammed towels. Complimentary water. Again I just cannot say enough nice things about this place. Would absolutely stay there again!!! You made our weekend so special.

The Raphael Hotel was just lovely! Such character and ambiance, beautiful! Our room was excellent! Clean and nicely decorated! We had a great view of The Plaza too! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved that Chaz is both their restaurant and bar with live music! How enjoyable! Loved that we could walk to and from the plaza area. Lots of shopping and fun things to do. We had a lovely stay!

I don't mess around with reviews much anymore but I had to add a review about this place. The service by everyone at this hotel was just the best, I'm talking the best of anywhere I've stayed. The suite was really nice, I was sort of surprised actually! It was exactly as pictured. The food at breakfast was perfectly cooked, you could tell it was prepared by a real cook who knew what they were doing. The location is great also, you can walk to the art museum from there.

From the moment we drove up we were treated excellent. We used valet parking and were assisted with our luggage up to our room. Checkin was a dream. Manager and clerk were the best. It felt like we were family. Beautiful hotel that is top notch and knows how to treat customers. Our suite was immaculate and I am a very picky person. Kudos to the Manager and the entire staff. They are well trained and the best at what they do. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Kansas City.

This is a relatively good old school type hotel with large comfortable rooms but everything is well-maintained and in good working order. Service and staff is very high caliber including the doorman and valet parking staff. There is a small bar and restaurant. So if you’d like a small field boutique hotel this is the place. And of course being a short straw from the plaza is a big plus

We stayed here for our anniversary in a one bedroom suite and had an amazing time. We had the romance package too which got us free wine, rose petals and free breakfast in bed. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly and always willing to help or get us what we needed. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well. The Marriot Bonvoy app made it easy to get in our room with checking in the app and a digital key with room number which allowed us to go straight to our room. We could also communicate with the front desk and request items needed all through the app. We walked to the plaza to shop since it’s right across the street. I’d highly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay again when we come back to KC.
