My friends and I made a reservation over a week ago and the only opening was at 9:15pm and as soon as we arrived at our seat at 9:20 we were swiftly being pressured to leave by our waitress. She started asking for our order before we even opened up the menu. When we did order our drinks they took over 10 minutes despite us being the only people in the restaurant and then the waitress started demanding last call at 9:45. We asked for a moment to think and look at the menu and she said no, last call was right then and there. We hadn’t even started on our first drink when she demanded that we basically wrap it up. I’m not sure why they have reservations after 9pm if they are not going to give customers full service. And then our burgers came out smelling like fish. At one point since I hadn’t put my card down yet because I was literally only like 4 bites into my burger when she put the check down, the waitress pushed the check towards me, a gesture that seemed like she was pressuring me to pay. We were so disappointed, our friends from out of town were visiting and we were looking forward to getting to catch up and spend some time together. From the moment we sat down we knew we were not welcome there. Take your hard earned money somewhere else.

Disappointed is the theme of this review. A former fan of the establishment, returned after a year hiatus sorely disappointed that the menu is lackluster due to no proper chef, let’s not mention that we ordered the “famous” burger for it to be served xtra crisp (to the point of no return). Also, what is the point of allowing / accepting a reservation at 9:15 only for you to approach the table and demand they order second round drinks, appetizers, mains and any deserts within 5 mins of seating because it’s “last call”. A proper kitchen knows to serves its guests until the experience has come to an end. Again, disappointed to see the fall of another “used to be” in KC.

Absolutely one of the most amazing restaurants I have been to for dinner. The drinks were crazy and the food was perfect! I am not sure who the chef is but they are so professional and the food was flawless.

I had a very delicious, perfectly portioned gnocchi and excellent local red wine. Food came out quick and the crew on staff were all really friendly and sweet. The atmosphere is lovely- dimly lit, interesting decore and if you're real lucky they'll play you some Pheobe Bridgers deep cuts. 😉

I have been wanting to try this place out for awhile. I picked it for our super club night. I thought it was amazing. I ordered the smash burger and fries. It was delicious. I don’t think this place is for everyone. There is a couple of people in our supper club that are picky eaters. I don’t mean discerning, I mean they like chicken nuggets. Lol. Not sure why they want to be in a supper club. But they even liked the smash burger and fries. The cocktails are inventive. I’m a vodka girl and I enjoyed my cocktail. The Olives were delicious too. To cold to sit outside but in the summer this place would be a nice hangout. Service was good and friendly. My only complaint is if you are inside in the evening it’s very dimly lit. I’m sure for ambiance. But for the old people it is a little hard to see. 😜

Enjoyable environment with a large drink menu and some solid food offerings. --- My significant other and I came here on a Sunday night in November while visiting from out of town. We had originally planned to get a full dinner, but after a heavy lunch we decided to go lighter on the food and grab a couple cocktails. The establishment is in the midst of a revived warehouse district. The ambiance inside was dark and charming, with candles at each table and plants and outdoorsy art surrounding us. It wasn't super busy when we first arrived, but was quite packed by the end of the night. We were seated at a table by the window. The service was OK - a bit slow and waiter was a bit curt, but not concerning or outright rude. We each had two cocktails throughout the night, and then split 2 appetizers and an entree. For the cocktails, I had the Orange Negroni and the Desert Paloma, while my significant other went for the Old Fashioned and the Grief Motif. The Negroni and Old Fashioned were solid - as we expected and not especially extraordinary. I enjoyed my Desert Paloma - the tequila and mixes blended well together and were refreshing. The Grief Motif was interesting - I did not hate it, but the mix of ingredients was interesting and certainly didn't remind me of the perfect Fall/Winter drink that it was to be described. The appetizers we went with were the Brussel Sprouts and the Apple/Kohlrabi. The Sprouts were especially Brussel-y but well prepped, and the Apple Dish was simple yet pleasant and enjoyable. For the entree, we went with the Butternut Squash as neither of us were that hungry. While the Squash itself was good, the Kale was overwhelming for me and made the dish taste more 'earthy' than I was looking for. My significant other liked this more than I did, however. Overall this was a solid experience, even if I felt some of the food and drink offerings didn't always consistently excel. We left with a T-Shirt as well, so certainly are fans of our time here. I would definitely like to come back during warmer weather to sit outside and get the more true 'campground' experience, and also try the rave-reviewed burger when my appetite allows for it.

Great food and cocktails. The ambiance is one of the most aesthetically pleasing in town. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful and the bartenders look like they enjoy their time here. Would recommend 10/10. Amazing local spot in the heart of west bottoms.

Amazing ambiance, unique setting and great cocktails. No detail is overlooked. We also appreciate them putting public safety first. The Christmas Market has been a highlight of the season for the past two years. I hope they continue it! Can’t wait to get back for a burger.

This is hands down the best bar in KC. The natural wine list is incredible, the cocktails are all delicious, and the burger is the best in town. Also, the owners and staff are the kindest people you’ll ever meet. I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Thank you Campground for keeping everyone safe and always making everyone feel welcome. We love this place!
